MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF
MAMARONECK, HELD JUNE 14, 1978 IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE
WEAVER STREET FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET, TOWN OF MAMARONECK, AT
7:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. in
accordance with the Notice of Meeting thereof as herewith
presented and ordered received and filed as part of the
record of this meeting.
ROLL CALL
Present: Supervisor Vandernoot
Councilman Bloom
Councilman Perone
Absent: Councilman McMillan
Councilman DeMaio
Also Present: Mrs. Miller - Town Clerk
Following Mr. Vandernoot's explanation of the necessity for calling
this meeting and pursuant to a letter addressed to the Comptroller
by Roswell C. Dikeman of Willkie Farr and Gallagher under date of
June 8, 1978 and herewith presented and ordered received and filed,
the following resolution was offered by Councilman Bloom, who
moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Perone, to-wit:
RESOLUTION DATED JUNE 14, 1978.
A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING IN
RELATION TO THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
EXISTING SANITARY SEWER LATERALS IN AND
FOR SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE TOWN OF
MAMARONECK, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK.
WHEREAS, the Town Engineer, by a Report dated
May 19, 1978, has recommended the reconstruction
of sanitary sewer laterals at various locations
in and for Sewer District No. 1 of the Town of
Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York, as
hereinafter more fully described;
and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the aforesaid
improvements is $236,000;
and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to call a public
hearing on said proposed improvements in
accordance with the provisions of Chapter
630 of the Laws of 1939, as amended by
Chapter 710 of the Laws of 1943;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, by the Town Board of the Town of
Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York, as
follows:
Section 1. A meeting of the Town Board of the
Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New
York, will be held at the Weaver Street Firehouse,
in the Town of Mamaroneck, New York, at 8:15
o'clock P.M. , Eastern Daylight Saving Time, on
the 5th day of July, 1978, for the purpose of
considering the aforesaid improvements, at which
time and place said Town Board will hear all
persons interested in the subject matter thereof.
Section 2. The Town Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice of said public
hearing to be published once in The Daily Times,
the official newspaper, and posted in the manner
provided by law.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect
immediately. The question of the adoption of
the foregoing resolution was duly put to a vote
on roll call, which resulted as follows:

John M. Perone VOTING Aye
Stewart J. McMillan VOTING Absent
Harry B. DeMaio VOTING Absent
The resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board, on motion
duly made and seconded, the meeting was declared adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
