Report - Solid Waste, Westchester County Supervisor Vandernoot reported on two recently held meetings relative to the disposal of solid waste in Westchester County. The first one was attended by Fred Kellogg on January 12th who reported that proposed sites have been narrowed down to two places, Grasslands and Yonkers with July 1978 as the target date to complete negotiations, July 1979 for completion of design and to commence construction and October 1981 as the date for completion of construction. Supervisor Vandernoot noted that the October 1981 date is critical since it will be about that time that no further dumping can be done at Croton and he then spoke briefly about a meeting on the same subject that he attended on January 14th with the County Executive. At this time, upon noting the arrival of Councilman McMillan, the Supervisor reverted back to Item #1 under OLD BUSINESS. 1. Approval of Bond Resolution - Sewer District Mr. Vandernoot recounted that a public hearing was held on October 5, 1977, that the approval of the bond had been made at the October 19, 1977 meeting and that it was now in order for this Board to authorize the sale of the bond in order to pay the cost of the construction of existing sanitary sewer laterals for the above captioned district and thereupon, the following resolution was offered by Councilman Bloom, who moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Perone, to-wit: RESOLUTION DATED JANUARY 18, 1978.
