1. Traffic Light - Weaver St. and Forest Ave. Place on October 16th agenda?
Recommendation to Town Board that the State should begin proceedings to in-
stall a traffic light on Weaver Street at Forest Avenue. Traffic actuated
and pedestrian actuated.
2. Traffic Light - Central School & Palmer Avenue. Formal request in writing
to the County to study the possibility of installing a traffic light at
Central School and Palmer Avenue (Talk to DAB) Place on October 16th
Agenda. Recommendation of Committee - Have County do study.
3. Griffen Avenue - Deferred to next meeting.
Jane Walensky appeared at the meeting. Place on next Traffic Committee agenda -
notify her of next meeting.
4. Parking Madison Ave. Myrtle Blvd.
a) Potential for creating one hour parking in Gold Lake side of Myrtle Blvd.
b) Place on next agenda
c) Rich Mari and Tony Math will review this matter.
5. Blossom Terrace Matter - Recommendation that as you enter from Palmer Avenue
pavement markings to be installed at this location - not sign.
Check with SMS as to whether this is feasible to place marking on the street
without a law.
6. Rockland Avenue - Loucus Letter
Mr. Loucus recommends three way stop at Winged Foot and Rockland Avenue.
Will be placed on the next Traffic Committee Agenda after study by the Com-
mittee and Commissioner.
7. Visibility at Corners as per Campanelli letter
Have Police Department investigate to determine if they are indeed visual
obstructions.
Talk to SMS about enforcement of visual obstructions. Check current ordinance.
Check with FINAST as to why they never painted the lines in the lot.
8. Vine Place - Overnight Parking - request rejected.
9. West Garden Road - Sign for children
- Increase Radar Enforcement.
- Determine what sign may be applicable.
- Report back at next meeting of Committee
10. Parking of commercial vehicles on public street - Legality of prohibiting parking
for commercial vehicles and buses.
