of the February 10, 1987 meeting were approved.
Parking - Myrtle Boulevard
Mr. Gravanese addressed the Committee with respect to the issue of parking
on Myrtle Boulevard and Madison Avenue for business. There was further discus-
sion on the commuters that may be using the street for long term parking.
The Committee requested that the Police Department conduct stricter enforcement
of the parking ordinances in the Myrtle Boulevard - Madison Avenue region.
Parking - Plymouth Road
Mrs. Gloria Milazo addressed the Committee. She indicated that over time more
and more people are parking on Plymouth Road and there are several homes without
any driveways. The residents would like to have the "NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER"
sign moved. Also they would like to know if the vacant land on Winthrop Avenue
could be developed into parking. Residents claim that the land is Town owned.
This matter will be referred to the Police Department for review.
The Traffic Committee, on motion by Committeeman Ryan and seconded by Commit-
teeman Math, recommended that the "NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER" sign be moved
to create one more space. The recommendation is conditioned upon the Fire
Chief's approval.
The Town Administrator will authorize a report to be made to investigate the
use of a piece of Town owned land for parking. The Committee requested that
the Administrator send a letter to the residents of Plymouth Road and Winthrop
Avenue encouraging those who have driveways should use them. Mr. Ryan will
also speak to the Town Attorney to again look at issuing street parking decals.
This matter will be placed on the May agenda.
