Altieri, Town Administrator Lt. John Anderson, Town Police Liaison Absent: Brian Morris Approval of Minutes: December 17, 1996 - approved. O January 21, 1997 - approved. February 25, 1997 - approved. In all cases, remove the Fire Chiefs name from the check list. Motion by David Lobl. Seconded by Pincus Leitner. Audible Pedestrian Walk Signal - North ChatsworthAvenue and Myrtle Boulevard: Sandy Constabile presented the issue of assisting the blind. Ms. Anguilo: Offered an alternate route to Larchmont train station. Mr. Vozza: Expressed concern over whether we are setting a precedent that would require us to install signals at each intersection. Mr. Altieri: Stated he will conduct further research and report to the Committee at the next meeting. Entrance/Exit 1 Main Street: Adam Reisz, of New Rochelle Lincoln-Mercury, appeared in support of this item. He questioned the distance from the driveway for a"NO PARKING" zone. Mr. Leitner: Proposed a"NO PARKING" zone 20 feet on left (east) side of driveway. Motion by David Lobl. Seconded by Camille Odierna. C r Page 2, Traffic Committee Minutes 4/29/97 MurravAvenue Divider: Eileen Mason, of 40 Briarcliffe Road, appeared before the Committee to discuss the divider of Murray Avenue, at intersection with Myrtle Boulevard. There was a recommendation to install reflector markings around the top of the pedestal and beginning of divider of Murray Avenue and Myrtle Boulevard. Right Turn on Red - Intersection of Weaver Street and Myrtle Boulevard: There was discussion of Daharine Ferrara's letter requesting consideration to eliminate the right-turn-on-red at this intersection. Deferred to the next meeting. The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department will monitor this intersection. Weekend Parking on Hommocks Road for Athletic Events: Leave the restriction as is to create an inconvenience. The problem is temporary and seasonal. This does not warrant further action at this time. The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department will continue to monitor the situation. The area will be monitored also by Richard Mari. PGA Tournament - Winged Foot Golf Club: There was a presentation by Stephen V. Altieri to the Committee. Next Agenda: "NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER," Palmer Avenue near high school driveway. Review the minutes of the Traffic Committee, to clarify what was recommended, and a copy of the Local Law. Next Meeting: June 3rd, at 8:00 p.m in the Courtroom of the Town Center.
