Tuesday, September 13, 2005
A regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Traffic Committee was held on September 13,
2005, in the Senior Center at Mamaroneck Town Center located at 740 W. Boston Post Road,
Mamaroneck, N Y, 10543.
Members Present:
David Lobl Camille Odierna Nancy Angiulo
Richard Mari Ron Meister Roz Weinstein
Others Present:
Paul Winick - Town Board Liaison
Stephen Altieri - Town Administrator
Lt. Michael Cindrich - Town of Mamaroneck Police Dept.
New Business:
1. Letter from Ruth Campanelli.
a. Intersection of Falls Road & Cooper Lane. Concern is that neither Cooper Lane nor
Falls Road have any type of traffic control device at the intersection. Question was
raised as to who has the right-of-way when two cars approach the intersection.
Members of the Traffic Committee will again visit the intersection to determine
what type of traffic control device may be best.
The matter was deferred to October agenda for further review.
b. Parking on Cooper Lane at entrance to Sts. John & Paul. The concern relates to cars
parked on the house side of Cooper Lane, coming from Weaver Street at the bend
in the road. Members of the Traffic Committee will again visit the site to determine
the extent of the parking restriction to be recommended on Cooper Lane.
The matter was deferred to the October agenda.
2. Correspondence re: Double Yellow Line on Vine Road. Residents appeared requesting that
the line be removed. Line to be removed by the Highway Department.
3. Correspondence — Charles Block & Jerry Gruenberg re: Intersection of Boulder Brae
Road and Fenimore Road. Concern is the traffic exiting from Boulder Brae onto Fenimore
Road. Concern over the visibility at Boulder Brae. Mr. Jerry Gruenberg & Mr.
Callaghan appeared before the Committee to present their concerns.
a. The Highway Department will do some additional trimming of the brush on the
stone cliff on the north side of the intersection.
b. Police Department will consider other possible physical improvements at the
intersection.
c. Place on October agenda.
The Next Traffic Committee Meeting is scheduled for October 11, 2005
