TOWN OF MAMARONECK TRAFFIC COMMITTEE o ° Meeting Minutes Q- Tuesday, March 22, 2005 • C'J'iDE:It 1 • A regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Traffic Committee was held on March 22, 2005, in the Courtroom at Mamaroneck Town Center located at 740 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York, 10543. Members Present: Members Absent: David Lobl Don Derrico Camille Odierna Roz Weinstein Others Present: Nancy Angiulo Stephen Altieri -Town Richard Mari Administrator Ron Meister Lt. Michael Cindrich -Town of Mamaroneck Police Dept. New Business 1. Correspondence - Karen Paul - North Chatsworth Avenue/Forest Avenue. Discussion over cars traveling on Forest and making the left turn onto North Chatsworth Avenue. Mrs. Paul claims the cars travel too fast. Lt.Cindrich recommended consideration of bum pouts at the intersection to shorten the length of the crosswalk. Traffic Committee requested additional information on pavement stamping and out the sidewalk. Police will provide enforcement at crosswalk when available. Place on Next Agenda. 2. Correspondence - Cathy DeVore - Rouken Glen Traffic Safety. Discussion of how to improve traffic safety in the neighborhood. Locust Ridge and Glen Eagles appear to be of greatest concern. Specific request is for the installation of a stop sign on Locust Ridge at the intersection of Glen Eagles. Place on the next agenda. Notify Mrs. DeVore. Old Business I . Approval of Minutes- January 11, 2005. Approved. 2. Overnight Parking Resolutions. Redraft the parking to include: Consider expansion of parking overnight on Palmer Avenue, Redraft in total overnight parking policy. Speak with Mike Cindrich. 3. Traffic Safety Improvements Colonial Avenue - Barry Hart - Erik Graber - Kate Bialy Recommendation to prohibit parking and standing on the north side of Colonial Avenue between Daymon Terrace and Colonial Lane. Check width of the roadway to see if a solid white line on the side with no parking. No parking-7:00 9:00 a.m.and 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.on School Days, place on Town Board Agenda March 30th to set a public hearing. Notify residents of public hearing date. Install painted crosswalk on Colonial at Weaver for next meeting.
