TOWN OF MAMARONECK TRAFFIC COMMITTEE

• Tuesday, June 29, 2004
A regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Traffic Committee was held on June 29, 2004, in
the Senior Center at Mamaroneck Town Center located at 740 West Boston Post Road,
Mamaroneck, New York, 10543.

Richard Mari
Ronald Meister
Others Present:
Judith Myers - Councilwoman
Stephen Altieri - Town Administrator
Lt. Michael Cindrich - Town of Mamaroneck Police Dept.
Old Business:
I. Approval of Minutes for April 27, 2004.
New Business
I. Murray Avenue School Issues - item #2. The Traffic Committee reviewed a memorandum from Lt.
Michael Cindrich. Rich and Claudia Jenson of 6 Bryson Street spoke in favor of"No Left Turn" as
recommended by the Police Department. Would prefer to see "No Left Turn" be a part time
arrangement.
The Traffic Committee adopted all of the Police Department recommendations except as amended.
a) "No Left Turn" shall be 7:30 - 4:00 p.m. Monday- Friday, September I S` - June 30`". Try to hold
hearings as early in September as possible. Make times correspond with "No Right Turn Signs".
b) Did not accept recommendation#5 to not relocate"No Parking Here To Corner on Murray Avenue
and Bryson Street.
2. Traffic on Huguenot Drive and Rochelle Road. Councilwoman Myers spoke to the issue of traffic
speed on Huguenot Drive at the intersection of Rochelle Road. the Police Department
recommends the installation of a stop sign on west bound Rochelle Road at Huguenot Drive. PL :e
this matter on the Tr,affrc Committee September agenda.
3. Approval of April 2.7th as amended. PGace on September Agenda. Pedestrian Traffic at Weaver
Street.
4. Moving Signs at Edgewood Avenue back 2 feet.
5. Signs in front of East Drive are too parallel to the street can't be seen.
The Next Traffic Coniiniltee Meeting is scheduled for September 7.. 2004.
