HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001_01_16 Traffic Committee Minutes c 24 :moo TOWN OF MAMARONECK TRAFFIC COMMITTEE m Meeting Minutes • • FOUNDED 1661 • Tuesday,January 16,2001 A regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Traffic Committee was held on January 16, 2001 in the Senior Center at Mamaroneck Town Center located at 740 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck,New York, 10543 Members Present: David Lobl Nancy Angiulo Camille Odierna Donald Derrico Richard Mari Pincus Leitner Rosalind Weinstein Others Present: Lt. John Anderson TOM Police Department Stephen V. Altieri TOM Town Administrator Judith A. Myers TOM Town Board Committee Business: Approval of Minutes—November 21,2000. 1. Intersection of North Chatsworth & Rockingstone. - Discussion of the memorandum prepared by David Lobl. The Committee considered alternatives including: No parking on the stretch of North Chatsworth near the island. Also considered, was creating a one way street for traffic proceeding northwest on North Chatsworth. Mr. Lobl asked the committee to consider this matter further at the next meeting. 2. Correspondence of Giovanni DeMonte—Parking on Richbell Road. - Committee reviewed the letter and determined that no further spaces can be provided on Richbell Road. Draft letter of response. 3. Memorandum of Town Administrator—Spruce Road. Lt. Anderson reported on his observations of the condition on Spruce Road. The problem as outlined in the memorandum is access to the hydrant. One alternative is to designate a no parking area at the end of the street. The committee deferred the matter to allow the Fire Department to make a specific recommendation. C:\My Documents\Traffic\Minutes 1-16-01.doc 4. Parking Recommendations—Myrtle Boulevard Study. The committee discussed the recommendations in the report. 5. Non-Agenda Items. a) "No Turn on Red"Myrtle/Weaver—Move sign to the metal pole right at the corner of Myrtle Boulevard. b) Palmer Avenue and Richbell—Apartment Side—"No Parking Bus Stop"—sign missing.
