I Old Business 1. Correspondence — Robert Brisette Re: Intersection of Preston and Edgewood f I Avenue , A 2 I Mr. Brisette suggests that left turns from Myrtle Boulevard onto Preston Street be I prohibited permanently and that Preston Street be made one way towards Myrtle Boulevard. Although there was no consensus within the committee to make Preston Street one way the Committee did want to further review whether visibility could be improved at the intersection of Preston and Edgewood Avenue The matter was deferred to the next agenda New Business 1. Correspondence — Markus Rauschnabel Re: West Hickory Grove Drive # This matter has to do with the question of limited site distance at the crest of the hill on West Hickory Grove Drive. Mr. Rauschnabel had recommended the installation of stop signs at the crest of the hill. i 3 _ _ r i y r : The members of the Committee reiterated to Mr. Rauschnabel that Stop Signs are not to be used to slow down traffic. After further discussion on the matter the committee determined that no further action is necessary. i 2. Alternative —Traffic Control Device — Intersection of Dudley Road and Fenimore 1 Road This matter has to do with an issue raised by the residents regarding limited site distance when exiting Dudley Road onto Fenimore Road. As a possible solution the Town installed rumble strips on Fenimore Road as an added warning to motorists of an upcoming hidden street. The rumble strips became a noise issue 11 for a local resident on Fenimore Road and as a result the strips were removed. i f 11 The Traffic Committee deferred this matter to the next agenda and requested accident data for the intersection of Dudley Road and Fenimore Road. 3. Correspondence — Ronalie Zackman Re: Traffic Congestion at Daymon Terrace and Senate Place 1j The issue here is the congestion at this location particularly during the school day. Various residents appeared at the meeting to voice their opinions on the matter. • Susan Gedan of Senate Place expressed concern regarding the access of emergency vehicles. Arthur Hoffman of Senate Place also expressed concern on this matter I particularly with respect to the narrowness of Daymon Terrace with cars parked on both sides of the street. The Traffic Committee has asked that the Town's emergency services be asked to review this location. 11 There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
