A regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Traffic Committee was held on May, 9, 2011, in the
Courtroom at the Mamaroneck Town Center located at 740 W. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY.

Traffic Committee Meeting Minutes.
1. Correspondence — Curbie & Darren Cohen. Commuter Parking on Edgewood Avenue.
Review of letter from the Cohens requesting a parking restriction on Edgewood Avenue. Mrs.
Cohen appeared before the Committee to discuss the issue. Proposed "No Parking 9:00AM —
10:00AM Monday — Friday Except Holidays". No parking zone will be from the firehouse
driveway to Judson Street.
Place on May 18, 2011, Town Board Meeting agenda to set a public hearing.
2. Forest Avenue Speed Platform. Lt. Michael Cindrich and Town Administrator Altieri made
a proposal to install a speed platform before 743 and 753 Forest Avenue. Discussion over the
effectiveness of installing the speed platform. There are concerns of noise and impact upon
the residents living closest to the speed platform. After discussion, the Traffic Committee
made a finding that due to the proximity of Forest Avenue to the Murray Avenue School, the
recommendation is to install stop signs in the following locations:
• Traveling towards Weaver at the Corner
• Traveling towards Rockland at Forest Place.
Place on May 18, 2011, Town Board Meeting agenda.
3. E-mail from Robert Hebert— Murray &Weaver. The Traffic Committee asked that staff
research the following alternatives:
• Any mention of this in Weaver Street Corridor Study
• Additional signage
• Redesign of island and use of road paint
E-mail Mr. Hebert.
4. Complete Streets Program.
The question by the Traffic Committee to Councilwoman Seligson was whether any further
action was necessary on their part.
The Traffic Committee recommended that the Town Board contact the County to pursue
complete streets recommendation of Central School.
