The meeting was called to order by Supervisor
Euston at 8: 30 o' clock F.M. at Murphy' s Restaurant, Dears
Place and Boston Post Fo ad,Mamaroneck,Xew York.

There were also present the Seer Commissioners
of Sewer District No. 1 of the Town, of Mamaroneck, Messrs.
Vitchell, Stevens and Palmer.
Supervisor Burton called the meatint to order.
The Town Clerk read the call of the meeting
notice of which he reported had been posted and Published✓ hic Yl. was upon motion. dilly approved. j
There were present about thirty residents and
taxpayers of the Dillon Park section_.
Supervisor Burton advised the meeting that
petitions had been duly presented to the Town Board, signed
and acknowledged by a sufficient number of taxpayers owing
over one-half of the taxable real property in said proposed
District and requesting the establishment of a< Sewer District
therein. He stated that the Board had ordered_ this special
meeting of the taxpayers and residents of the Dillon Park
section so that the Town Board :light ascertain from them
what their feeling was in regard to the establishment of
the proposed Sewer District and to answer any questions which
might be raised, by those present. He also stated that the
Town Board wished the residents to know the rpuroximate cost
to them of such a Sewer District, if established. He explain-
ed in detail the cost of the System and the cost to them yearly
of such a System and the probabilities of the increase in the
amount of taxes which they would have to pay yearly for the
establishment and upkeep of such a System. He asked those
present for their views . A number of the taxpayers present
spoke in favor of the immediate establishment of the Sewer
System.
The Supervisor answered certain questions in re-
gard to costs and taxes. He asked Pair. Gamble, Counsel of
the Torn Board, to explain to the meeting the legal require-
ments necessary in connection with the establishment of the
District and the carrying out of the plans for a S:wer System
therein.
After a, full discussion of the matter and every
one present having been Siven a full opportunity to by heard
either for or aSainst the proposition, the following resclut-
ion •uses offered by one of the ja.xpayers .
FES OLVED, that it is the sense of
this meeting that the Dillon Park
section desires the immediate:
establishment of the proposed Seeger
District and the immediate con-
struction of a Sewer System therein,
and be it
FURTHBA R7SOLV7r, that- it is the
sense of this meeting that the Town
Board shall proceed forthwith to take
the necessary steps to establish such
proposed Sewer District, to .appoint
Sewer Commissioners therein, and to
take all the necessary steps and pro-
oeedings to build and construct a
Sewer System in said District, when
and as established.
The question being put, twelve voted in favor
thereof and one voted in opposition thereto, and the motion
was declared carried by the Supervisor
There being no further business, upon motion, the
