NEW BUSINESS Diana Lovett asked the Task Force whether we should consider pausing survey and wait to hear from our Legal Counsel on the issue FOILing the survey results. Jeffery King stated that in Westchester, Dutchess and Sullivan counties, residents have the same access to the survey. We should proceed forward with our timeline and not pause the survey unless advised otherwise by Legal Counsel. Gonzalo Zeballos advised that there is nothing unusual about the survey which suggests FOIL. Andrew Tannenbaum stated that while he is not a FOIL expert, his impression is that there are exemptions on FOIL for law enforcement purposes. Stephen Altieri advised that TOM gets about 2 or 3 FOILs per month. As advised by our counsel, an unfounded complaint is not subject to FOIL. Diana Lovett asked whether the documents generated for the Racial Equity Task Force meetings will be published on the website. Unless documents are privileged, the Task Force Agenda and documents presented for the meeting have been posted together. Stephen Altieri stated that he will ensure that Lindsey uploads the documents to the website this week. Additionally, will cross reference the links on the TOM website that reference the Task Force. Review Recommendations Jeffery King would like the opportunity to review recommendations from other counties to incorporate into our draft. We will utilize a Google Doc to aggregate feedback from the Task Force on our recommendations as drafted by Andrew Tannenbaum. Diana will review Task Force recommendations and consolidate. ABLE - Active By Stander program Diana believes that the Village of Mamaroneck is considering this program and asked whether TOM would also consider the program. Chief Creazzo does not think that this program is applicable for TOM. Jeffery asks whether we can meet on January 21 (Thursday). Open Issues 1. Resident who shared her experience on Zoom. What steps should we take in following up with her? We will confirm whether or not she is a resident of the Village of Mamaroneck or Town of Mamaroneck and Gonzalo and Diana will respond to her. 2. Survey data to be presented in an aggregated fashion with the report.
