MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK
HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1984
IN THE FIRE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE WEAVER
STREET FIREHOUSE, TOWN OF MAMARONECK
Deputy Supervisor Caroline Silverstone called the meeting to order
at 7:40 P.M.
Present were the following:
Deputy Supervisor Caroline Silverstone
Councilman Lee H. Bloom
Councilman Thomas R. Amlicke
Councilman Lawrence A. Lerman
Also present:
Stephen V. Altieri, Town Administrator
Town Supervisor Dolores A. Battalia arrived at 8:20 P.M.
The Administrator reviewed with the Board the proposed agenda for
tonight's meeting. The Town Board discussed the upcoming Urban
County funding and listed the following potential projects.
1. Automatic valve for the Reservoir Dam.
2. Installation of oil traps having to do with pollution
prevention.
3. Myrtle Park - renovation of playground.
4. Construction of Catch Basins - various streambeds in Town
The Board then reviewed the funded programs and made the following
decisions with respect to appropriation for 1985:
Community Action Program -- $9,000
L.I.F.E. Center -- $3,500
The Adminstrator will check to see if their proposed activities
comply with prerequisites for State funding.
Community Counseling Service -- $10,000
Teen Center -- The funding level for 1985 will be $19,900
The Board discussed the organization of the Teen Center Program
and the future of its management. Based upon this discussion, it
was decided that the Recreation Department will assume the
supervision of the program.
Children's Corner -- $4,000
KEEPS Program -- No appropriation for 1985
Summer Theater -- $3,400 - for 1984 expenses only.

The Board then discussed appropriations to be made to the
various Boards and Commissions of the Town.
Human Rights -- $250
Tenant's Council -- $250
Safe Rides -- $200
Tri-Municipal Bicycle Commission -- $200
The Town Board discussed the Joint Planning Group which will soon
be in need of a consultant and based upon that need, it was
decided that $7,500 will be appropriated for this purpose.
On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman
Amlicke, it was unanimously
RESOLVED, that the Board adjourn into
Executive Session to discuss matters of
personnel.
The Town Board discussed matters relating to the Town's attorneys.
On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman
Lerman, the Executive Session was adjourned.
On motion by Councilman Bloom and seconded by Councilman Amlicke,
the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
