HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984_09_25 Town Board Special Minutes s 250 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1984, IN THE OFFICES OF THE TOWN AT 437 WARD AVENUE, MAMARONECK, NEW YORK Supervisor Battalia called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present were the following: Supervisor Dolores A. Battalia Councilman Lee H. Bloom Councilman Tom Amlicke. Councilwoman Caroline Silverstone Councilman Lawrence A. Lerman Also present: Stephen V. Altieri, Town Administrator Steven M. Silverberg, Town Attorney On motion by Councilman Bloom and seconded by Councilwoman Caroline silverstone, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Board adjourn into executive session to discuss matters of --: III personnel. The Board interviewed the candidates for the position of Police Lieutenant. The Board discussed the candidates and the organization of the Police Department. On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman Bloom, the Board adjourned the executive session. Chairman of the Traffic Committee Patricia Latona appeared with the Board to discuss parking in the Town. Councilwoman Silverstone presented a proposed plan for parking in the various Town lots. The plan called for providing additional twenty-four hour parking. The Board also discussed overnight parking throughout the Town. The Town Board discussed the Reservoir property and the Village of Larchmont's plan to dedicate the property. Councilman Amlicke was chosen to represent the Town Board at the Village of Larchmont's public hearing on this matter. -1- z' On motion by Councilman Bloom and seconded by Councilwoman Silverstone, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that Councilman Amlicke shall represent the Town Board at the Village of Larchmont's public hearing on the dedication of the Reservoir property and express the Town Board's approval of such dedication. On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman Lerman, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Board adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel and contracts. The Board discussed police personnel. The consensus of the Board is to appoint two lieutenants, and appropriate notification should be made to the County. The Board discussed the proposed contract with the County relative to the transfer station. On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman Amlicke, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Board adjourn the executive session. On motion by Councilwoman Silverstone and seconded by Councilman Amlicke, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Stephen V.
