MAMARONECK, HELD NOVEMBER 14, 1955, AT THE HOME OF THE CHAIRMAN, MR.
WULLSCHLEGER, ON HOMMOCKS ROAD, TOWN.
PRESENT: Mr. Wullschleger, Chairman
Mr. Blair
Mr. Maggini
Mr. Schuler
ABSENT: Mr. Rigano
Mr. Burke
Presence was also noted of Mr. Thomas J. McEvoy, Building Inspector,
and Mrs. Barnes, Secretary to the Planning Board.
Mr. Wullschleger called the meeting to order and the Secretary was asked
to read a letter dated November 4, 1955, from the Westchester County
Department of Planning, concerning the Westchester County Planning
Study Program, and announcing that chargs, consisting of 4 sheets,
containing a comprehensive summary of the provisions of all the
municipal zoning ordinances in the County as of July 1, 1954, compiled
by the County Department of Planning, are available at a cost of
$7.50 per set.
The charts had 1)een received and after some study it was agreed the
Board would purchase one set and the Secretary was instructed to send
a claim form to the Westchester County Department of Planning.
In connection with these charts, Mr. McEvoy was requested to have
them checked with the Town's Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Maggini reported that he has been conferring with Mr. Fred Clark,
a consulting engineer in Rye, in an effort to make an appointment on
a mutually convenient date.
Mr. Blair presented a proposition from the Fairchild Aerial Survey
people offering certain aerial photographs of the Town.
After some discussion on this, it was decided to take no action until
after the employment of a technical expert.
Due to the recent death of Mr. Foote, there was some further discussion
of the Official Map which his office is preparing and it was again
emphasized that part of the cost of this is to be paid out of the
Planning Board's 1955 budget.
There was discussion of nursery schools in the Town and it was agreed
that some recommendation concerning such will be made to the Town Board.
This will be discussed with members of the Larchmont Gardens Association.
Traffic on Harmon Drive also came up for discussion but any recom-
mendation on this will await the completion of the Thruway.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it ad-
journed at 9:40 P. M.
