RE: TOWN ZONING ORDINANCE
The Chairman stated that he considered it desirable to
further consider the matter of the amendment of the
Zoning Ordinance of the Town, which had been discussed
by the Board at their regular meeting on July 2, 1956,
with particular reference to certain petitions for rezon-
ing of areas in the northern part of the Town which had
been referred to the Planning Board by the Town Board.
After discussion with the members present, it was de-
cided to make no specific recommendations with regard
to rezoning until after the opinion of a consultant on zon-
ing or planning is obtained.
On motion, the following resolution was unanimously
adopted:
RESOLVED that the following letter be sent
to the Town Board to be read at its meeting

July the 11 th
1956
Honorable Town Board
Town of Mamaroneck
Mamaroneck, New York
Gentlemen:
We met on July 2nd and again on July 10th to
consider the petitions referred to our Board by the
Town Board regarding the rezoning of the various
residential properties in the northern parts of the
Town.
The conclusion of the Planning Board was
that action on the petitions be deferred until the
Planning Board has reached a conclusion on the
zoning requirements of the Town in general.
Therefore, with your approval, we would
like to retain the services of a consultant to assist
us in the study and preparation of our recommen-
dation of possible revision of the entire zoning
ordinance.
Very truly yours,
s/ Fred L. Maggini
Chairman
