HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956_04_11 Planning Board Minutes 111 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD APRIL 11, 1956, AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS, 11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF MAMARONECK. CALL TO ORDER. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:30 p. m. PRESENT: Mr. Morgan J. Burke, Jr. , Chairman Mr. G. Norman Blair Mr. Fred L. Maggini Mr. HenryE. Mullick Mr. Joseph J. Rigano ABSENT: None Also Present: Building Inspector McEvoy Mr. Robert D. Brown, a member of the staff of Frederick P. Clark and Associ- ates, Planning Con- sultants, Rye, N. Y. Mr. Joseph C. Muson Mr. Charles A. Newburgh RE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION SOUNDVIEW WOODS, INC. The Chairman explained that the purpose of this meeting was to discuss further the application of Soundview Woods, Inc. He said that a study of the Clark Report, together with the two proposed alternate layouts (Alternates "A" and "B"), had been made by this Board, and they were substantially in agreement with the proposals. Mr. Brown was introduced, and he explained the two pro- posed layouts. Discussion followed on the location of the roads, easements, sewer connections, lot lines, pedestrian easement, and drainage problems involved. The Chairman requested that profiles showing storm drainage facilities be submitted by the applicants. The applicants as- sured the Board that the drainage problem would be worked out to the satisfaction of the Town as well as to the people who will reside in that area. -48- The Chairman suggested that before making any final decision, it was the Board's feeling that a copy of Mr. Clark's Report, and the alternate layouts, be made available to the applicants for their study, and when a decision was reached, they contact the Secretary for another meeting date.
