HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957_09_09 Planning Board Minutes ® MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD SEPTEMBER 9, 1957, AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS, 11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF MAIvIARO NECK CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m. PRESENT: Mr. Fred L. Maggini, Chairman Mr. G. Norman Blair Mr. Joseph Rigano Mr. John F. 0 'Conor ABSENT: Mr. Henry E. Mullick ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Maurice Friedlander, Town Engineer and Building Inspector OMr. Peter Kane, Councilman APPROVAL OF MINUTES On motion by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mr. Rigano the minutes of the meeting of August 5, 1957 were approved as presented. PROPOSED SUBDIVISION -- nBRIAR DELn Mr. James P. Ward, 107 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, N. Y. presented a revised plan submitted by Briar Del Homes Inc. . The Board examined the plans and Mr. Anthony J. Vileno, 133 Hutchinson Boulevard, Scarsdale, president of Briar Del Homes Inc. answered several questions put to him by the Board. After further discussion, the secretary was instructed to advise the applicant it was in order for him to prepare final plans and to follow the necessary procedure to obtain a decision on the proposed subdivision. 0 144 2 OFFICIAL MAP The Official Map was presented and viewed by the Board. After study and discussion on motion by Mr. Rigano, seconded by Mr. O 'Conor it was unanimously: RESOLVED that the Official Map be referred to the Town Board with the recommendation that it be adopted. COMMUNICATIONS: 1. Letter from members of the Larchmont Hills Civic Association. Re: Garfield Street The secretary read a letter signed by four members of the Larchmont Hills Civic Association in which they requested that the area of Garfield Street be kept as "A1 Residential Zone. After discussion the secretary was instructed to send a copy of the letter to Mr. Frederick P. Clark, Planning Consultant. 401) PLA NNING CONSULTANT-- MR. CLARK Mr. Maggini said that Mr. Clark expects to send his report to the Planning Board within the neat week. Copies of this report will be sent to all members of the Board, Councilman Kane and the Town Attorney, Mr. Delius.
