MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
HELD NOVEMBER 30, 1954, AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS, 11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE.
PRESENT: Colonel William J. Shea.
Mr . George Schuler
Mr . G. Norman Blair
Mr . Morgan J. Burke, Jr .
ABSENT: Mr. Arthur E. Wullschleger
Mr . Fred L. Maggini
Presence was also noted of Mr . McEvoy, Building Inspector, Mr. Delius,
Town Attorney, and Mr. J. C . Waterman.
Mr. Waterman has been designated as lia.son between the Town Council and
the Planning Board and he very graciously offered his and the Council 's
cooperation in furthering plans of the Board .
The first order of business was the nomination and election of a. Tem-
porary Chairman of the Board, in the absence of Mr. Wullschleger, who
is vacationing in Switzerland .
Colonel Shea wa.s nominated , but declined the nomination.
Mr. Blair wa.s then nominated and elected .
CF Next, Mrs . Margaret Barnes was appointed Secretary to the Board, to be
paid the maximum amount allowed in the Budget .
There wa.s discussion of the organization Rules and Regulations and a.
number of minor modifications were made to the first draft, after
which, the Rules and Regulations were adopted as modified .
The regular meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month.
There were many suggestions and modifications made during a discussion
of the requirements for approval of subdivision plans . It was finally
suggested that a. new draft would be made and distributed for study
before the next regular meeting.
Finally there wa.s presented to the Board, an application from Split
Tree Realty Corporation for approval of a partial subdivision. However,
since the requirements for subdivion plans have not been adopted,
no formal action could be taken .
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it adjourned
to meet again on December 13th.
