OF M.AMARONECK, HELD JUNE 3, 1957, AT POLICE HEADQUARTERS,
11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF MAMARO +TECK.
CALL TO ORDER
In the absence of the Chairman, Mr. Maggini, the
meeting was called to order by Mr. Rigano at 8:30 p.m.

ABSENT: Mr. Fred Maggini
Mr. Henry E. Mullick
ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Maurice Friedlander, Town Engineer &
Building Inspector
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On motion by Mr. O 'Conor, seconded by Mr. Blair, the
O minutes of the meeting of May 6, 1957, were approved
as presented.
PUBLIC HEARING -- WINGED FOOT KNOLLS, SECTION #2
The Secretary presented the affidavit of publication
of the notice of public hearing as published in The
Daily Times on May 28, 1957.
The Acting Chairman, Mr. Rigano, declared the hearing
open and inquired whether any persons present wished
to be heard.
The following persons addressed the Board:
Mr. James P. Ward, 107 Boston Post Road, Larchmont,
representing Winged Foot Knolls, presented final . .
plans, which were viewed by the Board and explained
by Mr. Maurice Friedlander.
Mr. Klaus Van Heel, 1032 Old White Plains Road, and
Mr. H. Alan Grady of 1030 Old White Plains Road,

whose properties abut this proposed subdivision,
asked questions pertaining to the subdivision. These
questions were answered by Mr. Ward.
The Board examined the Map and Plan submitted and ad-
vised Mr. Friedlander to obtain additional construct-
ion drawings showing proper drainage, and to advise
them concerning the amount of a bond.
In view of this, no final action was taken on this mat-
ter.
PROPOSED SUBDIVISION --"MURDOCK WOODS, SECTION 4"
The Board discussed the proposed subdivision Murdock Woods,
Section 4. Mr. Friedlander explained that this preliminary
plat would create another dead-end street in the development.
It was unanimously decided to reject the Preliminary Plan, the
major objection being that there are too many dead end streets
in Murdock Woods, and the proposed subdivision would increase
their number.
The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr. Irwin Oster,
3 Split Tree Road, Scarsdale, N. Y. advising him of the
Board' s decision.
PROPOSED SUBDIVISION -- BRIAR DELL
Pending further study by the Board and the Town Engineer, no
action was taken on this matter.
COMMUNICATIONS
(1) Letter from the Larchmont Gardens Civic Association
A letter was received from the Larchmont Gardens
Civic Association in connection with the study of
the Town Zoning Ordinance and was referred to
Mr. Frederick P. Clark, Planning Consultant .
(2) A letter was received from Supervisor Burchell. re-
garding the request of Homestrand Inc. for an opinion
on zoning regulations on Fifth Avenue . The Secretary
was instructed to advise Mr. Burchell that present
thinking does not indicate any change in zoning which
would permit light manufacturing in this area.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the meet-
ing, it was adjourned at 10: 15 p. m. to reconvene July 1,
1957 .
