HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966_09_06 Planning Board Minutes MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK PLANNING BOARD HELD SEPTEMBER 6, 1966, IN THE AUDITORIUM OF THE WEAVER STREET FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET AND EDGEWOOD AVENUE, MAMARONECK, NEW YORK. CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Mr. Fred L. Maggini, Chairman Mr. Lee Bloom Mr. Joseph Rigano Mr. G. Norman Blair Mr. Winfield James Also Present: Mr. William P. Widulski, Town Engineer Mr. James Johnston, Town Attorney APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of August 2, 1966 were presented and on motion duly made and seconded, approved as corrected. COMMUNICATIONS 410 Correspondence was received from Mr. Gronberg, the Town Clerk regarding a letter and sketch received from Owen A. Mandeville, Inc. referring to Consoli- dated Edison's request to erect a sub-station on the southwest corner of Weaver Street and Laurel Avenue. The Board decided they could suggest no municipal use for this property, but should the land be trans- ferred to a private owner for development other than a residential use they would request that detailed plans and specifications be submitted for their re- view. MURDOCK WOODS - SECTION 5 Mr. Goldstein and Mr. Hughes appeared before the Board with their request for extension of time and reduction of the bond. The Board agreed that the work is progressing and Mr. Widulski stated that there was approximately $10,000. to $12,000. work left to be completed. The Board is of the opinion that the work can be completed by November 1, 1966. Mr. Goldstein requested Mr. Widulski to give him a new list of what is to be done and he assured the Board he would report to Mr. Strausberg. G ,6 The Board decided that at this time they cannot recommend reduction of the bond to the Town Board.
