BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK HELD SEPTEMBER
12, 1960, IN THE OFFICE OF THE TOWN ASSESSOR, 158

CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:15 p. m.
PRESENT: Fred L. Maggini, Chairman
Joseph Rigano
Lee Bloom
ABSENT: G. Norman Blair
D. B. Follansbee
ALSO PRESENT: Maurice Firedlander, Town Engineer
MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of Augustl, 1960 and the
special meeting of August 6, 1960, were approved as
presented.
OLD BUSINESS --MURDOCK WOODS, SECTION 5
The secretary read a letter from Meyer B. Goldstein,
regarding the above captioned subdivision, in which he
requested that paragraph of the resolution adopted by
this Board on August 6, 1960, be revised. Mr. Goldstein
suggested that the drainage ditch, which would drain the
land of J. Robinson, be re-located to run along the lot
line between lots 23 and 24 to the culvert under the road
that will be constructed by them and all reference to
maintenance of the drain be eliminated from the resolution.

Following some discussion the Board members decided that
the resolution should remain as adopted.
Mr. Maggini instructed the secretary to write Mr. Goldstein
advising him of the Board's decision.
The matter of re-locating a water service easement was
also discussed and after discussion Mr. Friedlander, Town
Engineer, was instructed to confer with Mr. Straub, Super-
intendent of the Westchester Joint Water Works, and
advise the Board of their recommendations.
NEW BUSINESS--MURDOCK WOODS SECTION ONE
Mr. Peyton Hughes, representing Peysam Developers,
Inc., appeared and submitted plans for a proposed sub-
division entitled "Resubdivision of a Portion of Section
1, Murdock Woods. "
These plans would eliminate a portion of Salem Drive,
formerly known as Murdock Road.
The Board exaimed the plans in detail and asked questions
of Mr. Hughes and Mr. Friedlander, following some
further discussion on motion by Mr. Bloom, seconded by
Mr. Rigano the following resolution was unanimously
adopted:
RESOLVED that a Public Hearing be
called for the regular meeting of the
Planning Board to be held Monday,
October 3, 1960, to consider the
approval of a subdivision map or plat
pursuant to Section 276 of the Town Law.
FURTHER RESOLVED that the secretary
be authorized and directed to publish a
notice of Public Hearing on or before
September 27, 1960, such notice to read
as follows"
PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Meyer B. Goldstein, secretary
of Peysam Developers, Inc. , 120 West 42nd Street, New Yo rk

has filed an application for the approval of plans for the
r Resubdivision of a Portion of Murdock Woods, Section 1,
which is in Block 304, Parcel 3001 on the Tax Assess-
ment of the Town of Mamaroneck.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town of Mamaroneck
Planning Board pursuant to Section 276 and 277 of the
Town Law, and in accordance with the Rules and Regu-
lations adopted by it and approved by the Town Board will
hold a public hearing on Monday October 3, 1960, in the
office of the Town Assessor, 158 W. Post Road Mamaro-
meck at 8:15 p. m. at which time it will consider the
proposed plat or subdivision plan as shown on a map en-
titled "Resubdivision of a Portion of Section 1, Murdock
Woods, Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New
York" made by S. Spinelli, Surveyors License #23043
and dated February 28, 1959.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all persons present will
be given an opportunity to be heard.
