BOARD HELD OCTOBER 11, 1967, IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE WEAVER
STREET FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET AND EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF
MAMARONECK.
CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mr. Fred L. Maggini, Chairman
Mr. Lee Bloom
Mr. Joseph Rigano
Mr. G. Norman Blair
Mr. Winfield James
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of September 13, 1967
were presented and on motion duly made and seconded,
approved as submitted.
SAXON GLEN SUBDIVISION
The following persons appeared before the Board:
Mr. Wilbur Fried, applicant
4525 Greystone Avenue, Bronx, New York
Judge Reuben Sirlin, Attorney for applicant
211 Mamaroneck Avenue, Mamaroneck, New York
Mr. Thomas J. McEvoy, Jr. , Surveyor for applicant
2005 Palmer Avenue, Larchmont, New York
The Board had approved dividing the subdivision into
two sections and Mr. McEvoy presented the Board with
a plan for Section 1 of the subdivision.
Mr. Widulski, the Town Engineer had sent a memo to
the Planning Board stating that in his opinion a
bond in the amount of $44,000.00 would be sufficient
for Section 1.
Members of the Board stated that they hoped Mr. Fried
realized how extensive the work was that he was un-
dertaking especially concerning Lots 22 through 26
and the applicant should make sure there will be
no excessive drainage in any of the lots.
After further discussion the Board advised Mr. McEvoy
to bring in the detailed drawings and necessary deeds
as soon as possible in order that a Public Hearing
could be arranged for the next meeting on November
8, 1967.
COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. Kane, the Town Supervisor had written a letter

to the Chairman attaching a copy of a letter he had
received from Mr. Emanuelson, Assistant Director of
the Pinchot Institute. Mr. Emanuelson wrote about
the problem arising from the pond behind Mr. Randall's
property on Leatherstocking Lane.
Mr. Kane had requested the Board's comments on the
situation resulting from the stagnant pond and after
discussion the Board felt that this situation was
not in the Planning Board's jurisdiction but should
be worked out between the Town Board, Mr. Widulski,
the Town Engineer and Mr. Vileno, the builder.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before this
meeting it was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
