Post Road, MAMARONECK, N. Y. CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:15 p. m. PRESENT: Fred L. Maggini, Chairman Joseph Rigano G. Norman Blair Lee Bloom ABSENT: D. B. Follansbee ALSO PRESENT: Fred F. Kellogg, Jr. , Town Engineer Councilman Joseph W. Cook, Jr. MINUTES The minutes of the meetings held March 11, 19 and April 2, were approved as presented. BUSINESS ---WENDY MANOR Mr. Warren Lewin, Secretary-treasurer of the Maple Hill Construction Company appeared and presented plans for a sub- division to be known as Wendy Manor. Following some discussion as to drainage, street lights, type of house etc. the secretary was instructed to arrange for a Public Hearing on May 14, 1962. Mr. Walter Budd, president of the Elkan Park Association and Mr. Vought, vice president, expressed their satisfaction with the proposed subdivision, they stated that they had been concerned with the fact that the land would be used for an 346 apartment or a type of house which might downgrade the neighborhood. BRIAR HILL Mr. Adam A. Sumetz then submitted plans for the proposed subdivision known as Briar Hill. There followed some discussion as to drainage and the location of the proposed houses. Mr. Bloom, who is serving on the Cross County Land Committee, then asked Mr. Sumetz if he would deed a strip of land 10 feet wide along the rear of the property to the Town and Mr. Sumetz said he would have to consult his lawyer., The secretary was then instructed to advertise for the Public Hearing in the Daily Times, such advertisement to read as follows: PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Warren Lewin, Secretary- treasurer of the Maple Hill Construction Co. , Inc. of 29 No. Broadway, Irvington, New York has filed an application for the approval of pland and specifications for the construction of improvements of the streets and sewers, drains, etc. , in Wendy Manor which is in Block 402, Parcel 23 on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board pursuant to Sections 276 and 277 of the Town Law will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 14, 1962, in the Office of the Town Assessor, 158 W. Post Road, Mamaroneck, N. Y. at which it will consider the application of Warren Lewin, Secretary -treasurer of the Maple Hill Construction Co. , Inc. , 29 No. Broadway Irvington, New York to approve plans and specifications for the construction of improvements of streets, drains, sewers, etc. in a Proposed Plat or Subdivision Plan as shown on "Subdivision Map of Wendy Manor" in the Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, N. Y. made by Achille Pascale, New York State License #38811 and dated April 17, 1962. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Adam A. Sumetz of 570 Fenimore Road, Mamaroneck, New York has filed an application for the approval of plans and specifications for the construction of 347 V improvements of the streets and sewers, drains etc. in Briar Hill which is in Blocks 104 and 105, Parcels 1 and 900 on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board pursuant to Sections 276 and 277 of the Town Law will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 14, 1962 at 8:15 p. m. in the Office of the Town Assessor, 158 W. Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York at which it will consider the application of Adam A. Sumetz of 570 Fenimore Road, Mamaroneck, N. Y. to approve plans and specifications for the construction of improvements of streets, sewers, drains , etc. in a Proposed Plat or Sub- division as shown on "Subdivision Map of Briar Hill" in the Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, N. Y. made by Achille Pascale, New York State License #38811 and dated April 18, 1962. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all persons present will be given an opportunity to be heard. BY ORDER OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK PLANNING BOARD. FRED L. MAGGINI Chairman COUNCILMAN COOK Joseph W. Cook, Jr. , councilman, then requested that the Board review the matter of the Caddy House at Winged Foot Golf Club. Mr. Cook also asked if the Board would try to work on the proposed sign ordinance. Mr. Cook also reported that he had met with Larchmont regarding a Master Plan and would keep this Board advised as to progress. WINGED FOOT GOLF CLUB Following some discussion the following resolution was adopted unanimously; WHEREAS this Planning Board, by its report to the Town Board as to the application of Winged Foot Golf Club for construction of a swimming pool, 348 recommended that the Town Board, in its discretion, proceed to a Public Hearing on the application subject to the conditions stated therein; and WHEREAS, said report did not refer to the proposed re- location of the Caddy House and cart storage facilities in the event the said pool is built at the location pro- posed in the application; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board recommends approval of the proposed location and plans for a new Caddy Mouse and cart storage facilities at Winged Foot Golf Club as contained in the original application for construction of a swimming pool and such Caddy House and cart storage facilities.
