HELD JUNE 8, 1964, IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE TOWN OFFICES, 158 WEST
POST ROAD, MAMARONECK, NEW YORK.
CALL TO ORDER
In the absence of Chairman Maggini, Mr. Lee Bloom, acting chairman,
called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m.

Frederick F. Kellogg, Jr. , Town Engineer
MINUTES
On motion duly made and seconded, the minutes of the meeting held
March 2, 1964 were approved as presented.
COMMUNICATIONS:
MURDOCK WOODS - SECTION FIVE
The secretary stated a status inquiry had been received from Con-
tinental Casualty Co. on April 23 , 1964, the bond company covering
"Mansol Developers, Inc. , Stanart Development Co. , Inc. and Solomon M.
Strausberg and Edward Seuft and Arthur Seuft," and had been answered on
April 23, 1964. A copy of this inquiry was received and filed for the
record.
Mr. Bloom read copies of letters addressed to Raymond and May
Associates, dated June 5, 1964, and Supervisor George D. Burchell, dated
June 1, 1964, from the State of New York Department of Commerce. These
letters were received and filed for the record.
OLD BUSINESS:
CARRIAGE HOUSE LANE
The secretary read a letter, dated March 18, 1964, from Mr. Kellogg to
Mr. William Shroder.in which he stated he was enclosing a"sample of the
type of bond required by the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board" as re-
quested by Mr. Shroder in a telephone conversation. A copy of the letter
and "sample bond" were received and filed for the record.
Correspondence to and from the Westchester County Department of Planning,
dated June 4, 1964 and June 5, 1964, were read and discussed by Mr. Kellogg.

A print of a map entitled "Plan Showing Boundary of Proposed New Sec-
tion "R" Extension of Existing Sewer District No. 1 and Profile for
® Sanitary Sewer on the Southeasterly Side of Griffin Avenue, Town of
Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York" was sent to the County pur-
suant to their request of January 2, 1964 which stated any proposed
subdivision or proposed sewer extension within 500-feet of an adjoin-
ing municipality (in this case the Village of Scarsdale) required
notice to said Board. A postal card reply was received and stated
"no jurisdiction". These communications were received and filed for
the record.
Plans for the subdivision of Carriage House Lane as shown on a map
entitled "Subdivision Map of Carriage House Lane in the Town of Mama-
roneck, Westchester County, New York" made by Thomas John McEvoy and
dated February 27, 1964, were studied and discussed in detail. Also
the construction drawings pertaining to the subdivision were gone
over. Participating in the discussion were William Shroder (agent
for Edward Basso) and Russell Clune (attorney for Mr. Basso) .
During this discussion, it was agreed by Mr. Clune that certain deeds,
easements and other items, in form satisfactory the Town Attorney,
would be delivered to the Town Attorney at the same time that the
Planning Board made its decision regarding the map.
Following this discussion, on motion duly made and seconded, the
following resolution was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED that a Public Hearing be held at a special meeting of the
Planning Board to be held June 22, 1964, to consider the subdivision
TilW map of Carriage House Lane, pursuant to Section 276 of the Town Law.
FURTHER RESOLVED that the secretary be authorized and directed to pub-
lish a notice of Public Hearing on or before June 12, 1964, such notice
to read as follows:
PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that William Shroder, agent for Edward Basso, has
filed an applicatiort for consideration and approval of plans for the
subdivision of land known as Subdivision Map of Carriage House Lane, in
the Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York, which is in Block
340, Parcel 413 on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board, pursuant
to Section 276 and 277 of the Town Law and in accordance with the Rules
and Regulations adopted by it and approved by the Town Board will hold
a Public Hearing on Monday, June 22, 1964, in the Conference Room of the
Mamaroneck Town Offices, 158 W. Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York at 8:15
p.m. at which time it will consider the Proposed Plat or Subdivision
Plan as shown on "Subdivision Map of Carriage House Lane in the Town of
Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York" made by Thomas John McEvoy,
N.Y.S. License No. 39309 and dated February 27, 1964.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all persons present will be given an opportunity
to be heard.
