CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:07 p.m. PRESENT: Fred L. Maggini, Chairman Joseph Rigano Lee Bloom G. Norman Blair ABSENT: D. B. Follansbee ALSO PRESENT: Frederick F. Kellogg, Jr. , Town Engineer 1 James J. Johnston, Town Attorney MINUTES On motion duly made and seconded, the minutes of the meeting held December 2, 1963 were approved as presented. WELL HOUSE LANE Revised plans for subdivision, of Well House Lane were studied and discussed. Participating in the discussion were William Shroder of The Shroder Co. , 441 47k Lexington Avenue, New York, New York (agent for Edward Basso) and Dolph Rotfeld, consulting engineer. Mr. Shroder noted that the name of the proposed subdivision had been changed from Well House Lane to Carriage House Lane and asked all records be changed accordingly. The question of extension or creation of a sewer district was raised by Mr. Shroder. Mr. Kellogg pointed out some of the problems associated with such an extension, one of which was the existence of a lot owned by Mr. Basilief - which lot lies in the path of one of the possible sewer pipe installations that would be necessary to connect Mr. Shroder's sewer system with a possible future sewer in Griffen Avenue. Mr. Kellogg suggested Mr. Shroder see if he could negotiate with Mr. Basilief and see if he would give Mr. Shroder an easement through his property. The subject of pumping stations in general was discussed and Mr. Kellogg was questioned on a recently installed pump station in Murdock Woods, Section Five. Mr. Kellogg reported that the station wasactuated a few days prior to the meeting and appeared to be operating properly. Mr. Kellogg mentioned that he was going to request the Town Board to take over the responsibility of operating and main- taining the Murdock pump station and asked the Planning Board for their concurr- ence. Following a brief discussion on the merits of Mr. Kellogg's suggestion, the Planning Board concurred unanimously that it would be a better idea to have the jurisdiction and responsibility for the pump station formally established. 396 t Proposal to connect to the existing water main on Old White Plains Road (which water is supplied from the Village of Scarsdale) was discussed. The 1610 Town in conjunction with the Westchester Joint Water Works is intending to have installed a new water main connection (none now exists) from Wesleyan Avenue along Old White Plains Road to Wagon Wheel Road which new connection would then obviate the need to purchase water from Scarsdale. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before this meeting it was ad- journed at 9:10 p.m. Genevieve F. Soriano, Secretary 41100 397
