HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984_01_17 Town Board Special Minutes 015 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD ON JANUARY 17, 1984 AT THE TOWN CENTER, 740 WEST BOSTON POST ROAD, MAMARONECK, NEW YORK. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Battalia at 7:40 A.M. in the Supervisor's Office. Present were the following: Supervisor Dolores A. Battalia Deputy Supervisor Caroline Silverstone Councilman Lee H. Bloom Councilman Thomas R. Amlicke Councilman Lawrence A. Lerman Also present were: Town Administrator, Stephen V. Altieri Counsel to the Town, Steven M Silverberg On motion by Deputy Supervisor Silverstone, seconded by Councilman Lerman, the Town Board unanimously decided to adjourn into Executive Session to discuss personnel and matters of litigation. The Supervisor and Town Board discussed candidates to be appointed as Civil Officers for the Town. Additionally, candidates for the Metro North Commuter Council and Assessment Board of Review were discussed. Steven M Silverberg updated the Town Board on litigation for Perritano, Aqua Dredge, and Melron. On motion by Councilman Lerman, seconded by Deputy Supervisor. Silverstone, the Town Board unanimously adjourned the Executive Session and reconvened the public meeting. Councilman Amlicke updated the Town Board on the status of the Hommocks Pool. It is hoped that the pool will be reopened at the end of February. Councilman Amlicke will review the Fire Claims for the February 1, 1984 Town Board meeting. The Board discussed the job description and compensation for the position of Town Prosecutor which has been proposed. Supervisor Battalia stated that she would be seeking candidates for a committee to be established for the handicapped and disabled. -1- 016 The Board will also be seeking resumes for the vacancy that exists on the Plumbing Board of Examiners. It was decided that the appeal of the rate increase granted to UACC by the State Cable Commission should be added to the agenda for January 18, 1984. There being no further business, on motion by Councilman Amlicke, seconded by Councilman Bloom, it was unanimously decided to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Town Board.
