CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M. ROLL CALL • Present: Mr. Fred L. Maggini, Chairman Mr. Joseph Rigano Mr. G. Norman Blair Absent: Mr. Edward J. Cibulay Mr. James G. Couch Also present: Mr. William P. Widuiski, Town Engineer Mr. Philip Mercurio, Westchester County Planning Department APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of October 13, 1971 were presented and on motion duly made and seconded, ap- proved as submitted. Mr. Mercurio from the Westchester County Planning Department spoke to the Board about the latest de- velopments in the Westchester County Planning De- partment. Mr. Mercurio submitted copies and spoke about two new studies that had been made by the Planning Department. The first booklet showed the most recent figures for the County census and pointed out that there was a change since 1965 of about 5.2% in the Town's population. The second booklet pertained to School Taxes and Residential Developments. The report reviewed the various taxing methods by which public education is financed in New York State with particular em- phasis on Westchester County School Districts. The study also analized the student population or the number of children in various types of housing units in the County. It was noted that luxury apart- ment units produce 0.2 child per unit which is the lowest student ratio per family. The Board thanked Mr. Mercurio for the information and said that when they receive their copies they would study the reports. APPLICATION FOR SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 502 PART OF PARCEL 99 Mrs. Galati presented her application to the Board J6 and stated that she had purchased the property in question in 1954 at which time she had sufficient C land and frontage for two buildable lots. The ap- plicant had obtained a variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals at its meeting of December 1, 1971 to build a house on the rear portion of the existing parcel. Mrs. Galati's reason for requesting a var- iance was because since Lundy Lane had been built after she purchased the land it was necessary to provide a 30' setback from both street lines where previously only a side yard requirement was neces- sary and according to the proposed plan the setback from Lundy Lane was only 20 feet. Members of the Board had been out to look at the property in question and the Board could see no pro- blems. All the necessary utilities are available at the site. The Chairman requested the Secretary to advertise for the Public Hearing at the January meeting and advised Mrs. Galati to either be there or have a representative present at the meeting. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before this meeting it was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. Rita A. Johnson, Secretary C
