MINUTES OF A, SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK
HELD ON THE 12th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1986
AT THE TOWN CENTER, 740 WEST BOSTON POST ROAD
MAMARONECK, NEW YORK
The Special Meeting of the Town Board was called to order
by Deputy Supervisor Silverstone at 7:45 P.M.
•
Present were the following members of the Board:
Deputy Supervisor Caroline Silverstone
Councilman Thomas R. Amlicke
Councilman Lawrence A. Lerman
Councilman Stephen C. Chapin
Also present:
Stephen V. Altieri, Town Administrator
Supervisor Dolores A. Battalia was not in attendance at
this meeting.
EMELIN THEATRE
Mr. Tom Ross appeared on behalf of the theatre and
requested funding in the amount of $5,000.
KEEPS PROGRAM
Ms. Anne Marie Terrone and Ms. Claudia Allensworth appeared
on behalf of the KEEPS Program funding request.
TRI-MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ON THE ARTS
Ms. Roberta Semer and Ms. Deanne Molinari presented the
• council's request for $3,500.
HOMMOCKS ICE RINK
Mr. Robert Ingersoll gave a presentation on a proposed
tennis facility at the Hommocks Ice Rink site.

At this time, the Board reviewed the funded activities for
1987 and their final decisions are as follows:
1. OASIS PROGRAM $ 7,500
(General Town Budget A7310)
Seed money to be used for a
sound system and supplies only.
• 2. LIFE CENTER $ 3,700
3. AMBULANCE CORPS $45,900
(Includes $9,700 for uniforms)
4. EMELIN THEATRE $ 2,000
5. COUNCIL ON THE ARTS $ 2,000
(Part Town B8830)
6. HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION $ 750
7. LARCHMONT/MAMARONECK $ 750
SUMMER MUSIC THEATRE
8. CAP PROGRAM $ 9,000
9. COMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTER $10,000
10. KEEPS PROGRAM $ 500
(To be a one-time expenditure
relating to computer equipment.)
11. CHILDREN'S CORNER PROGRAM $ 5,000
(To be transfered from part
Town to Town-wide Budget A7310.)
• PART TOWN APPROPRIATIONS
12. CONSERVATION ADVISORY COMMISSION
Create position for administrative intern.

COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
(Appropriation of funds to be
discussed with Robert Schoenberger.)
LIBRARY
Budget to be decreased by the
value of two computers and the
corresponding maintenance costs.
At this time, on motion by Deputy Supervisor Silverstone
and seconded by Councilman Amlicke, it was unanimously
resolved that the Board recess into Executive Session to
discuss personnel matters.
Thereafter, on motion duly made and seconded, it was
unanimously resolved to adjourn the Executive Session.
The following salaries for Elected Officials were proposed
for the preliminary budget:
Supervisor $12,000 plus $5,000 in PHA
Town Board $ 4,000
Town Justices $13,000
Town Clerk $32,500
There being no further business to come before the Board,
on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was
unanimously adjourned.
