ON THE 3RD DAY OF MARCH 1989 IN
CONFERENCE ROOM A OF THE TOWN
CENTER, 740 WEST BOSTON POST ROAD
NAMARONECK, NEW YORK
CONVENE REGULAR MEETING
The Regular Meeting of the Adjourned Town Board Meeting of March 1,
1989 was called to order by Supervisor Battalia at 9:30 a.m.
Present were the following members of the Board:
Supervisor Dolores A. Battalia
Councilwoman Caroline Silverstone
Councilwoman Elaine Price
Councilman Chapin and Councilman McGarr were not present.
Also present were:
Patricia A. DiCioccio, Town Clerk
Stephen V. Altieri, Town Administrator
Steven M. Silverberg, Town Counsel
Claudia Ng, Environmental Coordinator
Supervisor Battalia indicated that the purpose of this meeting was
to review and comment on the generic draft Environmental Impact
Statement of the Boston Post Road and Weaver Street Urban Renewal
Plan.
The general consensus was that it was found to be deficient, in
that specifically it does not address economic impact and it does
not adress the issue of acquisition
Counsel Silverberg stated that since it is technical, it should
indicate that it is a generic environmental impact study.
Councilwoman Price requested some kind of summary or introduction
about why it isnt generic.
The Supervisor then asked if Dan Shuster could be called today so
as to receive this material before the next meeting of March 10th.
There being no further business to come before the Board, on motion
by Councilwoman Price, seconded by Councilwoman Silverstone, the
meeting was unanimously declared adjourned until 9:30 a.m. on
Friday, March 10th, at 9:37 a.m.
