J PRE T.NT° Supervisor Barton, Justices Boyd and Shmfer, Town Clerk Sherman. Upon notion it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. It was ordered noted in the minutes and placed on file. Supervisor Burton reported that the Police Commissioners have not funds with which to meet the payroll, and suggested that the Board authorize the issue of an additional certificate of indebtedness for the sums of Twenty-five hundred: ($2500.00) Dollars , which „mount wi11 be sufficient to meet the financial requirements of the 'Board of Police Commissioners until the taxes are collected. Justice Boyd thereupon offered for adoption the following resolution* be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to negotiate issue and sell upon the faith and credit of the Torn of Mamaroneck, a certificate of indebtedness in the sum of •$2500. in anticipation of the collect- ion of taxes levied and assessed for the Police Dept. of the unincorporated part of the Town of Mamaroneck. Such certificate to be sold for not less than the par value thereof, to bear interest at the rate not to exceed 6% per annum, to mature at such time as the Supervisor may determine and to be paid from the taxes which will become due on April 1, 19214 levied for police purposes; and it is further RESOL?YED , That the Supervisor and To,IM Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and empowered to execute and deliver such instruments and papers as may be required to carry into effect the foreW going resolution. Upon a vote being taken upon the foreEoing resolutions the same were declared to be unanimously adopted. -- 'The Clerk reported having been served with a notice of claim by Mary Ellen Drews against the Town of Mamaroneck for certain personal injuries sustained on the 23nd day of November, 19330 at the weaver Street Fire House. The notice of claim was ordered filed and the matter was .referred to Counsellor Gamble. Co aanications were received from the N eaver Street Fire Co. relating to the condition of the whistle system and also to a, resolution passed by the Fire Company requesting the Town Board to appoint an in- spector of Buildings for the Town of Mamaroneck. The same were ordered received., placed on file and the matters referred to the Fire House Committee, A communication was also received from the Colonial Perk and Neighborhood Association relating to the fire e.larm system. 'The Clerk was instructe=d to reply starting that the matter has been referred to the Fire House Committee of this Board. Upon motion the meeting adj cnarned at 10 t 30 P.M, Town C erk®
