PRESENT- Supervisor Burton, Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley & Shafer, Town Clerk Sherman, Counsellor Gamble. The minutes of the meeting of December 13th were read and upon motion approved. The Police Commissioners appeared before the Board and presented their annual report which was ordered received, spread upon the minutes and is as follows: POLICE DEPARTMENT OF TEE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, NEr, YORK E. I have made an audit of the cash records of the Police Commissioners of the Town of Mamaroneck, N.Y. for the year ended December 31st, 1923 and hereby certify that the foregoing statement is a correct summary of the transactions for the period and that the balance on hand of $629.00 agrees with the books of the First National Bank of Mamaroneck after considering unpresented checks. Birch Police Commissioners They then took up the question of their 1924 appropriation and requested that the sum of 4250000, be allowed to carry on the work of their Department. Upon motion, duly seconded, it was upon ROLL CALL RESOLVER, that the sum of 425,000. be and here- by is levied against the taxable property with- in Police District #1 of the Town of Mamaronee"k for the purpose of defraying the necessary ex- penses of the Police Department for the fiscal year 1934. The Supervisor brought to the attention of the Board, the various matters relating to the Fire 'Department, relating to an alarm system, equipment, etc, and requested that the Firs Committee take these matters under advisement with a view of financing the same through a bond issue instead of levying these items against the taxpayers in the annual budget. A communication was received from the Board of Appeals stating that at their meeting held on December 27th, the following appeals were approved by thair Board. 1, The appeal of Frederick P. Boehm to erect a public garage on Oak Street. 2. The appeal of Achille Gaillhard to erect a one family residence on the north side of Premium River Road. 3. The appeal of Frank L. Norris. to erect a one family residence on the north side of Forest Ave. 4. 'The appeal of William Collins to erect a one family residence and a private garage on the -- north side of Hillorest Avenue. Whereupon the following resolutions were presented and upon ROLL CALL were unanimously adopted: RESOLVED, that the appeal of Frederick P. Boehm be laid over for consideration at a later meeting. WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals and the Zoning Commission have requested to the Town Board that the appeal of Achille Gaillhsrd to erect 243 az a one family residence on the north side Of Premium River Road at the corner of Edgewater Place, within thirty feet of the street line be granted, and that the decision of the Build- ing Commission be reversed, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board pursuant to Article 50 Section 26 of the Town Law hereby consents to and confirms the action of the Board of Appeals in reversing the decision of the Building Commission, WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals and the Zoning Commission have requested to the 'Town Board that the appeal of Frank L. Morris to erect a one-family residence on the north side of Forest Avenue, one hundred feet east of Boulder Road within thirty feet of the street line '#e granted, and that the decision of the Building Commission be reversed, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board pursuant to Article 5, Section 26 of the Town Law hereby consents to and confirms the action of the Board of Appeals in reversing the decision of the Building Commission, s r m WHEREAS! the Board of Appeals and the Zoning Commission have requested to the Town Board that the appeal of William 0011ins to erect a one-family residence and a private garage on the north side of Hillcrest Avenue, sixty feet east of Judson Street, within thirty feet of the street line be granted, and the decision of the Building Commission be re- versed, provided that no part of the building or any portion thereof shall set closer to the street line than fourteen feet. RESOLVED, that the 'Town Board pursuant to Article 5, Section 26 of the Town Law hereby consents to and confirms the action of the Board of Appeals in reversing the decision of the Building Commission.
