HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923_08_27 Town Board Minutes Special Meeting of the Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK held August 27th, 1923. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 9 P.M. The Board met pursuant to adjournment of the meeting of August 20th, 1923. PRESENT : Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins, Shafer Town Clerk Sherman Upon motion duly seconded it was unanimously RESOLVED that the reading of the minutes of previous meetings be dispensed with. The specifications of the various bidders for the furnish- ing and equipment of the Automotive hook and Ladder Fire Truck appa- ratus of the Weaver Street Fire Company were examined and compared, and the bids were carefully analyzed. After the matter was considered and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Board that it would be to the best interests of the Town to reject said bids, on motion of Jus- tice Shafer, seconded by Clerk Sherman, it was unanimously RESOLVED that all bids submitted herein for the furnishing and equipment of the Hook and Ladder fire apparatus to be used by the leaver Street fire Company be and the same hereby are rejected; and it was further RESOLVED that the Clerk be and he hereby is author- ized and requested to return the certified checks to the bidders entitled thereto; and be it further RESOLVED, that September 12th, 1923, at 5.30 o'clock P.M. at the Town Clerk's office in the Village of Mamaroneck, New York, be and hereby is fixed as the time and place to re- ceive and open bids for the furnishing and equipment of an Automotive Hook and Ladder apparatus to be used by the Weaver Street Fire Company for the extinguishment of fires; and be it further RESOLVED that proper notice thereof be pub- lished according to law in the Mamaroneck Paragraph, a newspaper published in the Town of Mamaroneck, and also in Fire & Water, a weekly publication published in the City of New York. On motion by Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Shafer, it was unanimously RESOLVED that the Board adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 11.50 P.M. Frederick M. Sherman Town Clerk.
