TOWN OF MAMARONECK
held August 20th, 1923.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at
9.45 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley
Town Clerk Sherman.
The Clerk read the call of the meeting and on motion by
Justice Dudley, seconded by Justice Collins, the same was approved.
Mr. Dolan of the Stutz Motor Company addressed the Board
and explained the various details relating to the truck manufactured
by his Company.
Upon motion by Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Collins,
it was unanimously
RESOLVED that they proceed with the opening
of the bids.
The following bids were opened and read by the Clerk in the
order named:
American La France Fire Eng. Co. am't of bid $9,980.
certified check for $250. enclosed with bid
White Motor Truck Company, am't of bid 8,500.
no check enclosed with bid.
Stutz Fire Engine Co. am't. of bid 9,310.
certified check for $250. enclosed with bid.
Upon motion of Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Dudley, it
was unanimously
RESOLVED, to convene into Executive Session.
The Board re-convened into Regular Session.
Upon motion of Justice Dudley, seconded by Justice Boyd, it
was unanimously
RESOLVED that the matter of awarding the contract
for the purchase and delivery of the Hook and
Ladder truck and apparatus be deferred until the
next meeting on Monday evening, August 27th, 1923
at 8.30 P.M. o'clock.
Supervisor Burton stated to the representatives of the bidders
that the Board had decided to defer the awarding of the contract for
the purchase and delivery of the fire truck until the next meeting on
Monday evening, August 27th, 1923 at 8.30 P.M.
On motion of Justice Collins, seconded by Justice Boyd, it was
unanimously
RESOLVED that the meeting adjourn to convene on Aug. 27th,
1923 at 8.30 o'clock P.M.
The meeting adjourned at 10.15 P.M.
