The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9 P.1"I.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton
justices, Boyd;Collins, Dudley and Schaefer.
Town Clerk Sherman
Counsellor Gamble.
Upon motion duly seconded it was VOTED that the minutes
of the meeting�of Hay 2nd and of Z'T.y 16th be approved as printed.
communication was received from the xeceiver of Taxes
Frith letter attached from Hr. Samuel Svainburne in relation to erro-
neous tax assessment covering Lot 59 on Hap of Chatsworth, tax of
1884 and Lot 60 on Iviap of Chatsworth, tax of 1884. The matter was
referred to Counsellor Gamble for his report and the Clerk was re-
quested to acknowledge the communication.
A communication from the Larclimont Gardens "ssociation
was received and read in relation to the inspector to be employed
by the Town to take care of the construction of new streets and
the enforcement of the Building Code. Also the matter of re-
filling the excavations across highways and putting them back into
- proper shape. The Communication was ordered received -.nd _'iled
and the Clerk was directed to acknouledge same, stating that the
flatters would receive due consideration.
_I communication was received from T„Ir. R. C. Heather and
Co. , enclosing a list of the size and type of lamps -required with
the fixtures at the new Weaver Street Eire House.
Upon motion duly seconded it was upon ROLL CALL
RESOUVED that the installation of bulbs at the
;Deaver Street Fire House be left with Tore
Heather to complete.
Zi commmunication from the Mamaroneck Lodge of Elks #1457
was received and read, inviting the Town Board to `participate in
their Flag Day services to be _field June 14th The invitation was
accepted with thanks :-.nd'the members present wrere asked to endeavor
to be. present.
communication from Hr. Willard Fisher was received and
read in relation to the tax matter of Ada Bird which was -presented
to P, previous meeting of this Board. The Clerk was reaucsted to
reply to same and state that the matter had been referred to Coun-
sellor Gamble for his investigation and -report.
communication from Geo. J. Hulca.hey was received and
— read relating to the condition of premises opposite his residence
on P-s_;.lmer =venue. The co.=qunication C1as ordered placed on file and
the matter referred to the _ ealzh Officer for his attention.
communication from Yr. P. 1. Brinch was received and
read relation to the condition of an unfinished garage adjoining
his property. Same --,wias ordered placed on file and the :.latter re-
ferred to the Building Cormnission.
A coruaunication from L4r. Geo. P. Forbes Bras received and
read -asking whether the Torn 7ould care to sell some of the furniture
whic'h was used in Justice Schaefer' s office. The Clerk T.-aas requested
to reply, stating that same could not be done at this time ,
The Clerk -reported that the bulletin boards throughout
the Torun needed repairing and the matter was left in his hands to
take care of the same.
The Supervisor stated that the dedication and laying of
the corner stone of the ne;T leaver Street Fire House would take
place on July 4th, 1923, and upon motion ,duly seconder'., it 7,Tas
VOTED that invitations be extended to the Village
Boards of amaroneck and Larc'_.uaont and to Chief
Jones of New Rochelle, Chid' Gypsum of L?ount
Vernon and Chief Griffen of '..Taite Plains and Chief
LZulcahey of Yonkers to participate at this
dedication.
The matter ofthe purchase of new hooks and Ladder :ras
considered and upon motion duly seconded,it ,-ias
R ,SOMT-D that the Supervisor beand he hereby
is authorized and empowered to 'draw up speci-
fications and advertise in accordance -with
!e.-u for the purchase of a. hook and ladder
automobile : ppa.ratus.
The Supervisor stated that there had been some extra
- costs in the construction -of the ?9eaver Street Building, such as
ceiling work, corner stone, side ,-calls excavation _nd hiring , and
it was upon motion dtzltr seconded, upon POLL CALL
PliSOL? D that the expense for the extra costs
in the construction of the neta `:'u"eaver Street
Building be and the same hereby is approved.
