Upon motion duly seconded it was
RESOLVED that the appeal of Stephen
Badolato to alter a hotel and restau-
rant on the east side of the Boston
Post Road, 125 feet north of Hommock
Road, within a residence district, be
granted, and the decision of the
Building Commission be reversed.
A communication from the Weaver Street Fire Company was
received and read, offering several recommendations as to the
nature of equipment relating to the purchase of a Hook and Ladder
apparatus, and also asking for the installation of catch basins
in the brooks on Forest and Rockland Avenues and Colonial Park.
The communication was ordered received and placed on file, and it
was the sense of the Board that the matter pertaining to the Hook
and Ladder apparatus be taken up when the same receives considera-
tion. The matter relating to the catch basins was referred to the
Superintendent of Highways.
The following communication was received from the Board
of Sewer Commissioners:
Larchmont, N.Y.
February 26, 1923.
Town Board
4 Elm Street,
Mamaroneck, N.Y.
Gentlemen:
We have the honor to hand you herewith petitions signed
by a number of residents of Colonial Park, Larchmont Gardens and
on Palmer Avenue east of Weaver Street, requesting the annexation
to the existing sewer district a territory specified as section C
and shown on map dated December 12, 1921 by L. E. Van Etten .
We are advised by the Board of Assessors that the assessed
valuations within Section C, are as follows: Colonial Park, $188,250.
Larchmont Gardens, $1,133,150., and Palmer Avenue $77,000. Making a
grand total of $1,398,750.00. The amount of assessed valuation re-
quired by law to be represented on this petition would therefore be
51% of this total, or $713,362.00. The signatures on this petition
represent a total assessed v aluation in excess of $880,000.00.
We approve of this petition and recommend that Section C.,
as shown on above mentioned map be annexed to existing Sewer Dis-
trict Number One.
We are enclosing for your information a "Larchmont Gardens
Map" by Long and Miller dated August 16th, 1911, and call to your
attention that at certain points on the easterly side of Weaver
Street and a section of Palmer Lane, the property line does not
coincide with the easterly side or line of the highway (note arrows
along Weaver Street and Palmer Lane) . It would appear to us that
this situation should be corrected before sewers are ever placed in
Weaver Street and Palmer Lane , as some difficulty might be en-
countered in collecting a front foot assessment.
Your usual prompt attention would be greatly appreciated
as we are desirous of giving these residents the prompt services
which they are entitled to.
Very truly yours,
BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS
(Sgd. ) ROBERT H. STEVENS,
Sec.
Chairman.

minutes and is as follows:
