The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 8.30 P. 11.

COLn11issioners.
The Supervisor stated that the ir_eeting was called. for
the purpose of discussing the purchase of additional property
at the Larchmont Railroad. Station, as an addition to the present
To-vm Park, entailing a bond issue of approxirsately :�300Q0Od.00.
He stated that vahile there is a luw upon the .Statute
boolis Ziving the Tuwr. Board the po-,;,rer to purchase this property
vrithout referendum or petition, the Board felt that theywould
like to secure an expression of oiinion of the taxpayers of the dist-
rict, before proceeding with the project. He added that the Torun
had tyro options , one of which covered the purchase of the tr�angular
blot at about :'180,000.00 , rh cn would E oirc on _prii 20ti_i, 1929,
and the other covering the "sweet potato" at a cost of _140 ,000.008
which would expire on April Goth, 1929®
He further stated that vna ile he was not trying to sell
the proposition to the district, he personally felt that it was
good business on the part of the Town Board to -purchase this
additional property.
He then stated that he -�rould first 'near those opposed
- to the proposition and the follo,�aing addressed the meetings

Hr. A. S. Derby in his remarks stated that he had heard
that the Supervisor and some of the mersbers of the Toncn Adminitra-
tion wcie e personally interested in the proposition.
The Supervisor replied stating that he was glad that
these ruzaors were brought out in an open meeting, thus affording
him the opportunity to deny any such accusations.
He further replied by making a complete and unqualified
denial of the charge.
the Supervisor then presented and read a coamus-icaticn li
from 'ir. C. W. Iloody, giving facts and figures in relation to the
development of the property in Rouken dlen and Larchmont Ridge , and
the increased assessed valuation ; and strongly urged the Board to
acquire the land..
The conzfiunicatlon was ordered received and placed on file.
The Supervisor then stated that he ,mould hear those in

The Chair stated that unless there 'sere others present
who desired to speak on the subject, he would declare the hearing
