PrEsent : Justices Boyd, Collins , Howell and Leeds Town Clerk Sherman Upon motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved. The Town Clerk reported the 'receipt of a canvass of votes cast at the special election of -'ire , LiGhtin, and District Xo. 1, of the Town of Mamaroneck, held at the jeaver Street Fire House on Thursday , Dece5nber 20th, 1928. The certificate was ordered received, spread upon the minutes and is as follower: 'PO 21-1E TO�il: BOA-RD oP 2W YORI� Gentlemen : Je , the undersigned, Justices of the Peace of the Town of Lamaronech , acting as inspectors of Election, for the purpose of canvassing votes to be cast at the special election of Fire , Lighting and water Supply, District To. 1 , of the Town of Eamaron- eck, duly held pursuant to order of the Town Board and advertised according to law, at the 4eaver Street Fire House , AdgEwood Raad5 Thursday, December 20th, 1928, O=HM I2YI7G that said election was duly held and me presided as inspectors of Election thereat, and the following propositions were submitted- "Shall the Town ,of havaroneck, 7estchester County, Yew York, be authorized and directed to purchase and equip an automotive fire fight- inZ apparatus for use within Tire , Lighting and. water Supply District Yo. 1 of said Town, at a cost not exceeding ,15,000 00, pursuant to . the statutes of the State of Yew York, including among others , Sections 313 and 313-a of article 14 of the Town Law, and shall there be levied, raised and collected therefore the sum of not exceeding j15,000.00 by assessment and tax upon the taxable property lying within the boundaries of Fire , Lighting and 7ater Supply District Yo� 1 , of said Town, pursuant to the statute in such case made and arovided?'' "Shall the sum of j15,000. 00 voted at this meet- ing, other than for maintenance and operation, be raised by the issuance and sale of bopds?" that the polls were open between 63. K. and 6 P. N. and that the persons voting at said election were those entitled to vote upon the proposition and having the qualifications pres- cribed by Section 53 of the Town Law for an election at a Town Leeting ; THAT the polls were duly closed at 6 P.
