The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 10:45 P. Li.
Present: Supervisor Burton
Justices Collins, Howell and Leeds
Cler=� Sherman
Counsellor Gamble
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense
with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved.
A communication. from Hr. R. C. idye was received and
read requesting the release of a sewer right-of-way granted to
the Town of Illamaroneck in 1"!ay 1924s on lot 18 in Howell Park,
said right-of-way not having been used by the Sewer Commission.
The communication was ordered received, placed on file
and referred to the Sewer Commission for report and recommend-
ation.
Yr. Levine, representing Hyman Lehman, appeared before
the Board and inquired when a decision will be rendered in relatpn
to the application for the erection of a. public garage at the
corner of Iyrtle Boulevard and Vine Street. He was advised that
a decision will be reached at the next meeting.

Kr.. Bannister, representing Yessrs Donovan and Xc Donald
appeared before the Board in relation to the application for the
erection of stores on the west side of Vine Street. He was advised
that a decision will be reached at the next meeting.
Mr. A. O'Connor appeared before the Board and requested
consideration upon his application heretofore filed for the erection
of stores or. the north side of Ijlyrtle Boulevard. He was referred
to the Building Commission for proper action.
Counsel advised the Board in connection with the petition
for the extension of Sewer District ITo. T of the Town of Yamaroneck
to include the section known as Dillon Park, which had been referred
to him with instructions to draw the proper notiod authorizing the
calling of a meeting in accordance with the law so that a public
hearing upon: said petition might be held, that he had examined
the petition and other papers , which were in proper form, and that
he had drawn a form of notice calling for a meeting to be held on
September 5th, 19280 at 8.30 P. I . , which he presented.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
-- RESOLV21-D, that the Town Board hold a
special hearing at 8.30 P. 11. on September
5th, 1928, to consider a petition heretofore
presented to the Board, requesting the
extension of Sewer District '-,'To. I of the
Town of W.amaroneck so as to include therein
that portion of the Town described in the
petition including the section known as
Dillon Park, further
BETS=ITFD, that the Clerk be authorized and
directed to post and publish a copy of said
notice in accordance with the law.
The following resolution was presented for adoption;
WBEIEAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes of this Town, a statement .
under the provisions of Sedtion 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act from which it
appears that on August If 1928, the sum of
$5,105.59 was still outstanding and unpaid
for State, County, Town and Districts taxes
levied on April 12 1926; and
17=AS, the Supervisor has requested this
Board to authorize the issuance and sale of
a temporary certificate of indebtedness in
said amount of p5,105.59g now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of
the Westchester County Tax Act, the Supervisor
be and he hereby is authorized and empowered
to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town
of Fiamaroneck, the said sum of X5,105.59, for
which stun he shall issue in the name and under
the seal of said Town against uncollected State,
County, Town and Districts taxes levied on
April It 1926, one or more temporary certificates
of indebtedness which shall bear interest at a
rate of not more than 6-11-al per annum and shall be
made payable at such time as the Supertascr may
determine but not later than `play 19 1929.. Said
certificates of indebtedness shall be signed by
the Supervisor and countersigned and attested
by the Town Clerk; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to dispose of said
-- certificates of indebtedness for not less than
the par value thereof; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk
be and they hereby are authorized and empowered
to sign and execute such papers as may be nec-
essary to effect the sale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taker, upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following vote :
Ayes : 5
Noes none
The following resolution was presented for adoption;
WIEREAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes of this Town a statement
under the provisions of Section 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act, from which it
appears that or August 1, 19282 the sum of
$16,256.59, was outstanding and unpaid for
School Taxes which were levied on September
19 1926; and

V=HREAS, the Supervisor has requested this
Board to authorize the issuance and sale of
one or more temporary certificates of indebt-
edness not exceeding in the aggregate said
sum of x;16,256.599. being the amount reported
by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected
and outstanding on August 1, 1928, as aforesaid,
now therefore, be it
RESOL",T,D, that pursuant to the provisions
of the Westchester County Tax Act,: the
Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized
and empowered to borrow upon the faith and
credit of the Town of liamaroneck, the said
sum of X16,256.59, for which sum he shall
issue in the name and under the seal of
_ said Town against uncollected School Taxes
levied on September 11 1926, one or more
certificates of indebtedness each in such
denomination as the Supervisor may determine,
not exceeding in the aggregate the said sum
of X161256.59 which shall bear interest at a
rate of not mos•e than 5j per annum and shall
be made payable at such time as the Supervisor
may determine, but not later than Hay 1, 1929
Said certificate of indebtedness shall shall be
signed by the Town Clerk; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to dispose of said
certificates of indebtedness for not less than
the par value thereof; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk be
and they hereby are authorized and empowered to
sign and execute such papers as may be necessary
to effect the sale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taken, upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following votes
Ayes: 5

The following resolution was presented for adoption:
WHEREAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes, of this Town, a statement
under the provisions of Section 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act, from which it
appears that on August 1, 1928, the sum of
$10,160.46 was outstanding and unpaid for
School Taxes which were levied on September
1, 1925; and
Vfl-MRM S, the Supervisor has requested this
Board to authorize the issuance and sale of
one,6r more temporary certificates of indebted-
ness not exceeding in the aggregate the said
sum of $10,160.46-9 being the amount reported
by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected
and outstanding on August 1, 1928, as aforesaid;
now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of
the Westchester County Tax Act, the Supervisor
be and he hereby is authorized and empowered
to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town
_ of Yamaroneck the said sum of 4102160.46 for
which sum he shall issue in the name and under
the seal of said Town against uncollected School
Taxes levie on September 19 1925, against the
taxablefiSbterty within Union Free School Dist-
rict No. Is one or more certificates of indebt-
edness each in such denomination as the Super-
visor may determine , not exceeding in the
aggregate the said sum of ; 10,160.46, which
shall bear interest at a rate of not more than
61-16 per annum and shall be made payable at such
time as the Supervisor may determine , but not
later than :lay 1 1929. Said certificate of
indebtedness shall be signed by the Supervisor
and countersigned by the Town Clerk;
and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he
hereby is authorized and empowered to
dispose of said certificates of indebted-
ness for not less than the par value thereof;
and it Ls further
RESOLVED-, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk
be aid they hereby are authorized and empowered
tosign and execute such papers as may be nec-
essary to effect the sale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taken upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following vote :

The following resolution was presented for adoption;
�Jh�REAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes of this Town a statement
under the provisions of Section 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act, from which it
appears that on August 1, 1928s the sum of
x7,:242.67 in State , County, Town and Districts
taxes which were levied on April 1, 1925, was
still outstanding and unpaid; and
'r=REAS, the Supervisor has requested this
Board to authorize the issuance and sale of
one or more temporary certificates of indebt-
-- edness not exceeding in the aggregate the said
sum of ` 7,242.67, being the amount reported
by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected and
outstanding on August 1, 1928, as aforesaid;
now therefore , be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of
the Westchester County Tax Act, ine Supervisor
be and he hereby is authorized and empowered
to borrow upon the faith and credit of the
Town of Yamaroneck, the said sum of 079242.67,
for which sum he shall issue in the name and
under the seal of said Town against uncollected
State , County, Town and Districts taxes levied
on April 1, 1925, against the taxable real
property within said Town of Mamaroneck, one
or more certificates of indebtedness, each in
such denomination as the Supervisor may determine ,
not exceeding in the aggregate the said sum hf
$71242.6.7 , which shall bear interest at a rate
of not more than 6o per annum and shall be made
payable at such time as the Supervisor may deter-
mine, but not later than Yay 1, 1929„ Said
certificates of indebtedness shall be signed by
the Supervisor and countersigned by the Town
Clerk, and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to dispose of said
certificates of indebtedness for notless than
the par value thereof; and it is further
RESOLVED, that t_ e Supervisor and Town Clerk
to and they hereby are authorized and empowered
tohign and execute such papers as may be nec-
essary to effect the sale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taken upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following vote „

The following resolution was presented for adoptions
WHEREAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes of this Town a. statement
Linder the provisions of Section 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act, from which it
appears that on August 1, 1928 the sum of
413081.71, was outstanding and unpaid for
School Taxes which were levied on September
11 1927; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor has requested this Board
to authorize the issuance and sale of one or
more temporary certificates of indebtedness
not exceeding in the aggregate said sum of
$13 ,981.71, being the amount reported by said
Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected and out-
standing on August 1, 1928, as aforesaid,
now therefore , be it

RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of
the Westchester County Tax Act, the Supervisor
be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to
borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town of
S:amaroneck the said sum of 413 ,981.71 for which
sum he shall issue in the name and under the
seal of said Town against uncollected School
Taxes levied on September 1, 1927 , one or more
certificates of indebtedness each in such denom-
ination as the Supervisor may determine, not ex-
ceeding in the aggregate the said sum of :;013 ,981.71,
which shall bear interest at a rate of not more than
6 per annum and shall be made payable at such
time as the Supervisor may determine , but not
later than June 1, 1929. Said certificate of
- indebtedness shall be signed by the Town Clerk;
and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to dispose of said
certificates of indebtedness for not less than
the par value thereof; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor andTown Clerk be
and they hereby are authorized and empowered
to sign and execute such papers as may be nec-
essary to effect the stale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taken upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following votes

The following resolution was presented for adoption-
WHEREAS, this Board has received from the
Receiver of Taxes of this Town a statement
ynder the provisions of Section 28 of the
Westchester County Tax Act, from which it
appears that on August 1, 1928, the sum of
Q,191.41 in State County, Town, Highway
and Special Districts taxes which were levied
on April 1, 1927s was still outstanding and
unpaid; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor has requested this
Board to authorize the issuance and sale of
one or more temporary certificates of indebt-
edness not exceeding in the aggregate said sum
of $92191.41, being the amount reported by said
Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected and out-
standing on August 1, 1928, as aforesaid,
now therefore , be it
;SOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions
of the Westchester County Tax Act, the Super-
visor be and he hereby is authorized and empower-
ed to borrow upon the faith and credit of the
Town of 11amaronedk, the said sum of w9,191.41, for
which heEhall issue in the name and under the
seal of said Town against uncollected States
County, Town, Highway and Special Districts taxes,
-. levied on April 1, 1927, against the taxable
real property within said Town of Yamaroneck,
one or more certificates of indebtedness, each in
such denomination as the Supervisor may deter-
mine , not exceeding in the aggregate the said
sun of x,99191.41, which shall bear interest at
a rate of not more than 6% per annum and shall
be made payable at such time as the Supervisor
may determine, but not later than June 1, 1929.
Said certificates of indebtedness shall be
signed by the Supervisor and countersigned
by the Town Clerk; and it is further
H SOL M, that the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to dis-Pose of said
certificates of indebtedness for not iless than
the par value thereof; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk
be and they hereby are authorized and empowered
to sign and execute such papers as may be nec-
essary to effect the sale of said certificates.
Upon a vote being taken upon the foregoing resolutions,
the same were declared unanimously adopted by the following votes
Ayes: 5
