The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at
11:20 P. M.
Present : Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Collins, Howell and Leeds
Town Clerk Sherman
Supervisor Burton stated that the meeting had been
called pursuant to Lana and to a resolution of the Town Board
adopted at a meeting held May 2nd, 1928 , to act upon a petition
duly filed with the Town Board, requesting said Board to extend
the present boundary lines of Fire , Lighting and ';later Supply
District No. 1, of the Town of Mamaroneck and the Fire Lighting
and Water Supply system therefor and therein as now established,
so as to include in and make a part of said District the territory
embraced within the said proposed extension of said Fire , Lighting
and Water Supply District No, 1 , bring wholly within the said Town
of Mamaroneck, which is described in said petition.
The Clerk reported that due notice of the time and place
of holding the meeting had been given by posting and publishing,
as provided by law, and pursuant to the resolution of this Board.

The Clerk presented and read to the meeting a copy of the
notice , together with affidavits of publication and posting.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
R7SOLVED, that the copy of the notice of
the meeting and affidavits of publication
and of posting be ordered filed.
Supervisor Burton stated to the meeting that the petition
received and filed by the Board had been signed by the owners of
real property within the area of the said District to be served by
the proposed extension to said Fire, Lighting and Water-Supply,
District Fo. 1, of the Town of Mamaroneck, and the Fire , Lighting
and Water Supply systems therefor and therein, representing more
than one-half in value of the taxable real property within such area
as appears on the last preceding completed assessment roll, to wit:
(By approximately 94% thereofl,, and that the said petition complied
in form, substance , and in the manner of execution, as far as
applicable thereto , with the requirements of the petition for the
establishment of Fire, Lighting and Water Supply Districts::and that
there was presented with the said petition , a map prepared by a com-
petent engineer, showing the area proposed to be served by such
proposed extension.
The Chairman stated that the Board would be glad to hear
any person who desired to be heard prior to the Board taking action
upon said petition®
After discussion, all persons present being in favor of th=
adoption of a resolution by the Board authorizing the aforesaid ex-
tension, it was, upon motion, of Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice
Leeds, unanimously

RESOLTJED, WHEREAS, a petition signed and
acknowledged by owners of real property
in a proposed extension to the present
Fire, Lighting and Water Supply District,
No. 1, of the Town of Mamaroneck, represent-
ing more than one-half in value of the
taxable real property therein, as appears by
the last preceding completed assessment roll,
as is provided by the Law of the State of
New York, has been duly filed with this Board,
which said petition describes the proposed
extension to ?+Tire , Lighting and ?later Supply
District No. 1, that op_,osite the name of
each petitioner appears the assessed valuation
of the real property owned by him or her in
such proposed extension to the said Fire,
Lighting and Water Supply District, according
to the last preceding sssessment roll; and
WHEREAS, there is annexed to and presented
with and made a part of said petition, a map
and plan of the proposed extension to the said
Fire, Lighting and Water Supply District No. It
which has been prepared by a competent engineer;
and
WHEREAS, said petitioners ask the Town Board to
make an order extending and establishing the
extension to Fire , Lighting and ';later Supply
District No. 1 , described in said petition and
the Fire , Lighting and Water Supply systems
therefor and therein; and
WH7REAS, the Town Board is satisfied, that the
_- petitioners are owners of real property in the
Proposed extension and own more than one-half
- in value of the taxable real property therein
and is also satisfied that the real property
constituted within the proposed extension is or
will be of sufficient value to pay for the cost
of the construction of the Fire , Lighting and Plater
Supply Systems in said proposed District or
extension, and is also satisfied that no real
property which will not be suvstantially benefited
by the proposed extension to Fire , Lighting and
.later Supply District No. 1, is included in the
Proposed extension to the District, and that all
Provisions of the law relating to the estallish-
mentref the proposed extension to Fire , Lighting
and ;,titer Supply District No. It have been
Complied with; and
AREAS, the Town Board has determined that all
the property, property owners and interested
persons within the proposed extension to the
District are -benefited by said extension and
the construction of Fire, Lighting and ?Hater
Supply Systems therein, and that all property,
or property owners or any interested persons
included in the proposed extension will be
benefited thereby; and
--- :RTHEREAS, the aforesaid proposed extension to
said Fire, Lighting and Water Supply District,
No. 0 of the Town of Mamaroneck, joins and
abuts upon the said fire, Lighting and Miter
Supply District A. 1, of the Torn of Mamaroneck
as now established along the easterly boundary s
line thereof; and
WHEREAS, said proposed extension is described
in said petition as follows;
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the center line
of Fenimore Road with the boundary line between the Town of
Scarsdale and the Town of Mamaroneck, running thence southerly along
the said center line of Fenimore Road to the point of intersection
of the center line of Fenimore Road and the easterly fork of
Sheldra.ke River, running thence southerly along the said Sheldrake
River as it winds and turns to the point of intersection of same
with the center line of Rockland Avenue ; running thence southerly
along the center line of Rockland Avenue to its point of intersection
with the westerly boundary line of the Village of 'Mamaroneck; thence
northerly along the boundary line between the Village of Mamaroneck
and the Town of Mamaroneck to its point of intersection with the
westerly boundary line of the Town of garrison northerly
thence
along the boundary lire between the _own of Harrison and the Turn of Mamaroneck to its point of intersection with the southerly bound-
ary line of the Town of Scarsdale ; thence westerly along said bound-
ary line between the Town of Scarsdale and the Town of Mamaroneck
to the said center line Of Fenimore Road, being thyloint or place of
beginning.
All of which said proposed extension to said Fire , Lighting
and Water Supply District Noe 1 of the Town of Mamaroneck is more
specifically shown on a certain rap entitled 11Town of Mamaroneck,
Westchester County, N. Y. , Proposed Extension to Fire , Lighting and
Water Supply District No.l, By A. A Foote, Civil Engineer, dated
March 14, 1928. 1
Therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the aforesaid petition
be approved by this Board; and be it further
?;SOLVED, that the aforesaid described prop-
erty and proposed extension be and the same
hereby is established, annexed to , and made
-- a part of said Fire. Lighting and Water Supply
District No. Z of the Town of Mamaroneck; and
that a certificate is this effect be executed
and filed in the office of the Tour: Clerk;

Water Supply District No. 1 of the Town of
Mamaroneck, as now c®nstituted, together with
the extension thereof as herein established.,
continue to be known and designated as "Fire,
Lighting and Water Supply District No. 1, of
the Town of SfamaroneckaP and the said Fire,.
Lighting and hater Supply District No. 1, and
the extension thereto as herein authorized and
hereby established, le; the original Fire,
Lighting and W ter Supply District No. It and
the extensions thereto, herein authorized, and
established, be hereafter bounded and described
as follows-

RESOLYFD, that for all purpose of
taxation and assessments this resolution
and the certificate herein authorized to
be filed shall take effect i—nmediately,.
and that all of said costs incurred in said
Fire , Lighting and. Water Supply District
No. 1 of the Town of Mamaroneck as extended
for the purposes of constructing and operating
said District shall be levied and assessed
in accordance with the law provided therefor
andshali be and become a lien on said
property located within the said District,
as is 3rovided by lair; and be it further
RESOMEDt that the aforesaid extension to
Fire,, Lighting and +later Supply District No. 1,
herein authorized and established shall here-
after, for all purposes be regarded as a part.
of the original systems heretofore established
and shall be constructed and maintained by the
--- Ton of Mamaroneck, and the cost of construction
thereof, together with the cost of maintenance
of such extension or extensions, as may be here-
after made from time to times shall be provided
for in the same manner as is provided in the
Town Lave of the Sate of Nell, 'fork for the pay-
ment of the cost of the original Fires Lighting,
and 'water Supply Systems therein, and shall be
collected from the real property within the
said Fire, Lighting and hater Supply District No..
I in the same manner as though said extension
or extensions had formed a part of the original-
systems constructed in said Fire, Lighting and
Water Supply District No. l of the Town of
Mamaroneck; and further
RESOLIJED, that nothing herein shall delay or de-
feat the collection of taxes and assessments at
present a lien.
The Clerk advised the Board that it would be necessary
to consider the alteration and possible subdivision of certain of
the election districts of the Town due to the increased number of
voters, therein and that if any action was to be taker. thereon it
must be taken prior to July 1st, 1928.
After discussion, upon motion, duly seconded, it was

ricts in the Town of Mamaroneck be referred to
a committee consisting of Clerk Sherman, Justices
Collins and Leeds, together a*rith Counsel, to
give consideration to the matter and to report
back to the Board their recommen-dations thereon.

The Clerk advised the Board that the prevent contracts
for the collection of garbage , etc. of Fire, Lighting and Water
District. No. 1, and Fire District Ho. 2, of the Town of Mamaroneck
expire on June 30th, 1923, and it will be necessary for the Board
to advertise for bids for contracts continuing the same.
Upon motionrdaly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Clerk be and he hereby
is authorized and empowered to advertise
At bids to be received by the Town Board
for the collection of garbage , ashes, etc. ,
for a period of one and two years from
July 1st, 1928 ; the bids to be received
on or before June 27th, 1928, at 2:30 o 'clock

RESOLVED, that Counsel be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to prepare the nec-
essary fora of advertisementg specifications,
contracts and such other documentsEs may be
necessary in connecting therewith.
