HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928_05_31 Town Board Minutes '2145 MEETING OF TIM TOWN BOARD TOrdN OF I Ir R02EPCK, N. Y. held Maay 31st$ 1928. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 8:40 P. M. Present: Supervisor Burton Sustices Boyd, Collins, Howell and Leeds Town Clerk Sherman Upon motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not y t approved. The Clerk stated that pursuant to notice duly advertised$ the Board should now consider various applications and plans for building permits which had been denied by the Building Commission as being in violation of the Zoning Ordinance. After reading of the notice as advertised, and after discussing and considering thelarious applications and plans for building permits before the Board, at which time Messrs Murphy, ;'arren, Zegers,. Ernst and Bissitt, appeared and also presented two communications in opposition to the granting of permit #1194 of F. P. Boehm, for the erection of a one family dwelling on the south side- of Edgewood Avenue, it was$ upon motion, duly seconded RESOLVED, WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Hamaroneck, has duly advertised pursuant to law, a public meeting for the purpose of considering certain applications therein stated, made under the Zoning Ordin- ance of the unincorporated part of the Town of Mamaronedk, which applications are now pending; and tlI2,HTAS, the said Town Board having held said hearing and both parties having been granted the privilege of appearing for or in opposition to the granting of certain applications as provided under the said Zoning Ordinance and after due consideration, therefore be it RESOLIlMis that the Town Board of the Town of Maam..aroneck, sitting jointly as a Board of Appeals and as a Town Boards does hereby grant the following applications from the decision of the Building Commission, which decision is hereby reversed and does hereby consent to the granting of the 0.2-owing applications subject in each case to the -__ specific conditions and safeguards therein stated. 1. Application No. 1177 of Barant Builders Corp. , for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the north side of Rockland Avenue,, 348 feet from Weaver Streets provided that t no part. of the building is erected within 12 feet of the front lot line on Carroll Drive. 2. Application No. 1183 of Barant Builders Corp. , for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the north side of Rockland Avenue, 298 feet from Weaver Street, provided that no part of the building is ereetel within 15 feet of the front lot line on Carroll Drive. 3. Application No. 1184 of L. M. Kiley for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the south side of Hillcrest Ave. , 407 feet east from Judson Street, provided that no part of the building is erected within 26, feet of the front lot line, and it was further RESOLVED, that the following applic- ations be laid over for father consider- a ion. 1. Application No. 1182 of Barant Builders Corp. , for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the north side of Rockland Avenue, 148 feet from Weaver Street, within 30feet of the front lot line on Brookside Place. 2. Application No. 1186 of Donovan & Me Donald for the erection of stores and offices on the south side of Vine Street, 50 feet east of Myrtle Avenue, in excess of the lot occupancy; and it was further RESOLVED, that the following applied ation be denied. 1. Application No. 1194 of F. P. Boehm., for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the south side of Edgewood Avenue, approximately 250 feet from Preston. Street, within 30 feet of the front lot line , within 6 feet of the side lot line and upon less than 1,x10 of an Acre. The Clerk stated that pursuant to notice duly advertised, the Board should now consider the application of William A. Palmer to rezone and reclassify from B residential district to an D industrial district, the property designated as lots 6, 7, and 23, in block 80, section 1, on the south side of Myrtle Boulevard, between Chatsworth Avenue and Madison Avenue. It developed during the hearing that the application had been improperly made , and it was VOTED, that the same be denied without prejudice , and that the applicant be directed to file a corrected application.
