Riley - Larchmont Shore Club Bob Schoenberger - Little Harbor Sound Lawrence Lowy Stephen Altieri - Town of Mamaroneck Jim Lotto Bill Eipel Paul Miller Miriam Curnin C.A. Mason - Town of Mamaroneck Conservation Advisory Commission Mary Anne Johnson June Allen Bruce Allen Jack Morris - Larchmont Yacht Club Al Blumenthal Ellie Fredston The first order of business was to use a rotating arrangement for taking of minutes. Each member will have a turn. The letter of May 11, 1983 from Mayor Quigley was discussed, the feeling being he was unduly concerned because it was not the intention of the Committee to exceed Larchmont boundaries nor to go any further than the mandate given by the Village Board. The remainder of the meeting dealt with the NYS Work Program outlining the various tasks, the timetable and content. A suggestion was made that a workable map be obtained with plastic overlays for reference marking. The big advantage being that all will be working from the same source, scale, etc. At a later date it can he ieeuced to . the 1:24,000 as required by the State. There was concern voiced that by being too literal in remaining within boundaries, some effectiveness can be lost, namely with regard to causes of pollution. It was felt that such considerations should be taken into account and when the product is developed it will fall into its proper place. It was believed that much of the requirements for Task #1 are already in hand within the various subcommittee groups. The problem became one of deciding whether to proceed in group work on a topical basis or on a basis of area. It was decided that an ad hoc committee of Morris, Schoenberger, Fredston and Lotto would meet within a short time, decide the way in which tasks should be organized, circulate the decision and the assignments. Mary Anne Johnson brought to the attention of the members the Sea Grant program being coordinated by Steve Lopez, New City, New York. He is to be contacted. She also brought to the notice of all the threat to CZM Federal Funds now going on in Washington and urged various authorities to send letters asking ® that the funds be retained as planned for management and resources. Trustee Curnin advised that Charles McCaffrey from NYS Dept.. of State will be making a presentation before the Village Board on June 20th to explain the program.
