The meeting was called to order at 8:15 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Lili Andrews Marc S. Godick Bernard Kaplan Dr. C. Alan Mason Howard McMichael Nancy Seligson Eileen Weingarten REGRETS: ® William H. Approval of Minutes: - The minutes from 6/22/99 were approved with corrections from members on a motion from C.A. Mason, seconded by M. Godick. The minutes from 7/27/99 were approved with corrections from members on a motion from M. Godick, seconded by C.A. Mason. 2. Consistency Referrals: Variance for Fence Height in a Business District Ray Catena Lexus 1435 Boston Post Roar, Block 411 Lots 249 and 280 Referred by: Town of Mamaroneck Zoning Board of Appeals O - A discussion ensued and the CZMC determined that construction of the proposed fence would neither advance nor hinder the policies set forth in the Local Waterfront CZ_0899M.WPD CZMC-8/24/99 Pg.1 ink `J Printed on Recycled Paper Revitalization Program (LWRP) and accordingly is neither consistent nor inconsistent © therewith. A letter will be sent to the Town of Mamaroneck Zoning Board of Appeals stating such. Proposed Construction of a Concrete Patio with Sportcourt Flooring 18 Pryor Lane,Block 719 Lot 151 Referred by: Village of Larchmont Planning Commission - It was noted that there was no representation for this project present at the meeting to discuss project details. A discussion ensued and the Commission agreed that construction of the proposed sportcourt as proposed would be inconsistent with Policy 25 of the LWRP. A letter will be sent to the Village of Larchmont Planning Commission stating such. A copy of the letter will be sent to Richard Carroll, the Village of Larchmont Assistant Building Inspector. Freshwater Wetlands and Water Courses Permit Proposed Construction of a Roof over an Existing Deck 484 Weaver Street,Block 222 Lot 279 Referred by: Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board - After a brief discussion, the Commission agreed that the proposed construction of a roof over the existing deck at 484 Weaver Street is neither consistent nor inconsistent with the policies of the LWRP. A letter will be sent to the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board 0 stating such. 3. Members' Reports - P. Wittner stated that, with regard to the proposed development in Scarsdale discussed at last month's CZMC meeting, the Village of Scarsdale is still reviewing the proposal and will consult with the Town of Mamaroneck before granting final approval. The Commission would like to participate in the Town's review of the plans before final approval is granted. - N. Seligson asked K. Bialo to discuss the proposed changes to the Village of Larchmont Zoning Code. Mr. Bialo stated that there are no substantive changes proposed. The existing Code is being transferred from a table format into a textual format. When the conversion has been completed, substantive changes to the code will be proposed and other bodies, including the CZMC, will be asked to comment.
