• OF MAMARONECK, HELD IN THE MAMARONECK TOWN POLICE STATION AT 11 EDGEWOOD
AVENUE, TOWN OF MAMARONECK, ON NOVEMBER 28th, 1951.
Mr. Wullschleger called the meeting to order at 8 P . M.

Presence was also noted of Mr. McEvoy, Building Inspector, Mr. Delius,
Town Attorney and Mrs. Barnes, Clerk to the Board.
On motion duly made and seconded, the minutes of the previous meeting,
held October 24th, 1951, were approved as presented.
The first application before the Board was that of Alfred Willis, Agent
for R. Einhorn, for modification of Article III, Section 9 as amended,
to allow the addition of a lavatory which will encroach on the required
rear yard, on premises known as 1 Locust Ridge Road, and also known as
Block 109, Parcel 104 on the Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck.
Mr. Willis appeared in behalf of the application and addressed the
Board . He also submitted a floor plan of the house and stated to the
Board that it would be impractical, if not impossible, to locate the
proposed lavatory differently.
There was no opposition to this application.
The next application before the Board was that of Livingston Elder for
modification of Article III, Section 9 as amended, to permit the erection
• of a one family dwelling in an AA zone, with a street frontage of less
than the required 100 feet, to wit, 39.84 feet, on premises located on
a lane extending southeasterly from Griffen Avenue, 633 feet northeast
of Grant Parkrknown as Block 301, Parcel 73 on the Assessment Map of
the Town of Mamaroneck.
Mr. Elder, architect for the owner, Mr. Jack B. Siege, 80 Griffen Avenue,
Scarsdale, appeared in behalf of the application and submitted a plot
plan of the property. He also submitted a picture of the proposed house.

Mrs. Lewis P. Stanton, Grand Park Avenue, Scarsdale, said she believes
• the house,when completed, will be a beautiful one and an asset to the
community which they are anxious to see develop.
Mrs. Siege was also present.
There was no opposition to this application.

The Board then went into executive session and after discussion, on
motion duly made and seconded, the following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, Alfred Willis, Agent for R. Einhorn, has appealed to this
Board for modification of Article III, Section 9 as amended, to allow the
addition of a lavatory which will encroach on the present rear yard, on
premises known as 1 Locust Ridge Road, and also known as Block 109,
Parcel 104 on the Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck; and
WHEREAS, the application came on duly to be heard before this Board
at its regular meeting, held November 28th, 1951; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be an unnecessary hardship to re-
quire the applicant to comply with the strict provisions of the Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that the appeal of Alfred Willis, Agent for R.
Einhorn, be and the same hereby is allowed and the deci-
sion of the Building Inspector reversed to the extent of
permitting the addition of a lavatory which will encroach
not more than 7.3 feet on the present rear yard on premises
known as 1 Locust Ridge Road and also known as Block 109,
Parcel 104 on the Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck,
in accordance with plans and specifications filed in connec-
tion with tHis application, provided, however, that in all
other respects, applicant comply with the provisions of the
Ordinance and Building Code of the Town of Mamaroneck.
The vote recorded on this resolution was as follows:

The Board next discussed the application of Livingston Elder, architect
for Jack B. Siege , and on motion duly made and seconded, the following
resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, Livingston Elder has appealed to this Board for modifica-
tion of Article III , Section 9 as amended, to rermit the erection of a
one family dwelling in an AA zone, with a street frontage of less than
the required 100 feet, to wit, 39.84 feet, on premises located on a
lane extending southeasterly from Griffen Avenue, 633 feet northeast
of Grand Park Avenue, known as Block 301, Parcel 73 on the Assessment
Yap of the Town of Mamaroneck; and

WHEREAS, the application came on duly to be heard before this

vided, however, that in all other respects, applicant
comply with the provisions of the Ordinance and Building
Code of the Town of Mamaroneck.

There being no further business to come before tihe Board, the meet-
