MEETINC OF THE TOYN BOARD
TOWIT OF 1TA3jA-01rECK, LT. Y.
held February 29th, 1928,
In the absence of the Supervisor, the meeting was
called to order by Justice Collins at 8:30 P, M.
Present ; Justices Collins, Howell and Leeds
Town Clerk Sherman
Counsellor Gamble
Upon Motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense
with the reading of the Minutes of Meetings not yeta yproved.
The Clerk stated that pursuant to notice duly advertised,
the Board should now consider the application h re=zone as
Business C district, all that piece of property on the south
side of the Boston Post Road, 1031 feet east from Monroe Avenue, "
known and designated as section a, block 39 , lot IQ within an
F unclassified district.
After reading of the notice as advertised, and after
discussion and consideration, the following resolution was present-
ed, and upon roll call unanimously adopted
RESOLVED, that the Zoning Ordinance of
the unincorporated part of the Town of
Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York;
HAn ordinance adopted by the Town Board
of the Town of ISamaroneck, Few York, at
-- a meeting held on June 21st, 1922, by
virtue of the ;gofer vested in said Town
Board under the provisions of Chapter 322
of the lags of 1922, to establish building
lines on any property fronting or adjoin-
ing any public streets, and require all
buildings hereafter erected to be within
such lines , to regulate and 'restrict the
location of trades and industries and the
location of buildings, designed for special
uses, to -regulate and limit the height
and bulk of buildings hereafter erected,
to regulate and determine the area of yards,
courts and other open spaces surrounding build-
ings, and to establish the boundaries of
districts for the said purposes and to provide
penalties for the violation of its provisions,
together with he Zoning Map which with the
designations shoran thereon accompanies the
aforesaid Ordinance and which is therein
declared to be and is made a part thereof,
together Frith the amendments thereto and
thereof, respectively" , be it further
emended as follows:
That the aforesaid Zoning Map together with designations
shown thereon, be and the same hereby is amended so as to transfer
to and re-classify as C business district, the following described
portion of the Town of hamafoneck, which has heretofore been class-
ified as. an F unclassified district; viz:

ALL of the land designated as section
¢, block. 39, lot 1C, on the south side
of the Boston Post Road, 1037 feet east.
from Monroe Avenue , ;within an unclassified
district, and be it further
RESOLVED, that this ordinance shall take
effect immediately.
The Clerk stated that pursuant to notice duly advertised.
the Board should = consider the various applications and plans
for the building permits which had been denied as being in viola-
tion of the Zoning Ordinance.
After reading of the notice as advertised, and -after
discussing and considering the various applications and plans for
building permits before the Board, it was upon motion, duly
seconded, unanimously,

said hearing and both parties having been
granted the privilege of appearing for or
in opposition to the granting of certain
applications as provided under the mid
Zoning Ordinance and after due consideration,
therefore , ' it
RESOLVED, that the Tolan Board of the Town
of Hamaroneck, sitting jointly as a Board
of Appeals and as a To,^rn Board, does hereby
;grant the follo:,Ting applications f ror, the
decision of the Building Commission, ';rhich
-- decision is hereby reversed- and does hereby
consent to the granting of the follo.=ring
applications subject in each case to t'ne
- specific conditions and safeguards therein
stated.
1. Application ;,'786 of Hispanic Building Corporation for the
erection of an apartment house between Murray,. Chatsworth. Washington
and Jefferson Avenues, provided that the said apartment house is
erected not less than 5 feet from the front lot line on any street.
2. Application X1122 of Rouken Glen, Snc. , for the erection of
a one family clelling and garage on the 'west side of Glen Eagles Drive
provided that the building is erected not less than 25 feet from the
front lot line.
3. Application 7`1123 of H. 0. Bitter for the erection of an
auto supply building on the south side of the Boston Post Road,
1037 feet east .ftom Idonros Avenue ; provided that the building is
erected not less= than 110 feet from the front lot line.

And it was further
RESOLVED, that the following ap-plications
be laid over for further consideration.
i. Application #-11?0 of Florindo Rosa for the erection of a
_-- one family dwelling and garage on the north east corner of Barnum
Road and Little Pawns Road, Twithin 30 feet of the front lot line.
?, Application #1132 of Laurette 11. Kiely for 'he erection
of a one family dwelling and garage on the south side of Hillcrest
Avenue , 500 feet. east from Judson Street, wit in 30 feet of the front
lot line.
Upon motion, the meeting wi journed at 10 .30 P. LT.
