I know that the members of the new Boards are both aggressive and efficient, and I am certain that under the leadership of Morgan J. Burke, Jr. , on the Planning Board they will do a good Job. When the Planning Board was appointed a year ago, we started from scratch and we had little or no financial assistance from the Town Council. -56- 7 - We have managed to thrive under the expert guidance of Colonel (William J. ) Shea who had twenty-five years experience on the Planning Board of the City of New York. With his valuable assistance we have put in operation a plan which will be of great benefit to the community. So , good luck to all you gentlemen. I have had the honor of being reappointed as Chairman of the Zoning Board, and I will do my very best to fill this office as efficiently as I am able.
