OF APPEALS OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD SEP-
TEMBER 28, 1960, IN THE COURT ROOM OF POLICE HEAD-
QUARTERS, 11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF MAMARONECK.
CALL TO ORDER
George Schuler, acting chairman, called the meeting to
order at 8:00 p. m.
PRESENT: George Schuler, Acting Chairman
Sydney Bierman
Laurence Sobel
ABSENT: A. E. Wullschleger, Chairman
Philip Corby
MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of August 24, 1960 were approved
as presented.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Before opening the hearing, the Chairman announced that
any person who desired could request that hearing on his
application be postponed to the next meeting since appli-
cations heard when only three members of the Board
were present could be granted only upon unanimous vote.
HEARINGS
The Chairman declared the hearing open.

The Chairman announced that the two applications which had been
adjourned at the last meeting would now be considered.
APPLICATION NO. 3---THOMAS J. SEMENZA Case #78
Application of Thomas J. Semenza for modification
of Article IV, Section 455. 4 which provides that no
parking required for business use in a business
district may be provided in a residence district,
so as to permit the construction of a parking lot
on premises located at 417 Boston Post Road and
known on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town
of Mamaroneck as Block 505, Parcel 446, said
lot to extend 200 feet in from the southerly side
of the Boston Post Road partly in an R-6 Res-
idence District, on the ground of practical dif-
ficulty and/or unnecessary hardship.
Mr. Schuler asked if anyone present wished to speak either
in favor of or in opposition to this application and the following
persons addressed the Board

In Opposition: None
Mr. Gilligan, speaking for Mr. Semenza, stated that plans had
not yet been completed and asked that the case be adjourned to
the next meeting of the Board, which would be October 26, 1960.
On motion by Mr. Sobel, seconded by Mr. Schuler the following
resolution was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED that at the request of Mr. Gilligan,
attorney for Mr. Semenza, decision on the
application of Mr. Semenza be reserved and the
application be adjourned to the meeting of
October 26, 1960.
FURTHER RESOLVED that this decision be filed
with the Town Clerk as provided in Section 267
of the Town Law.

APPLICATION NO 4--LARCHMONT COUNTRY
CLUB DINER Case # 79
Application of Larchmont Country Club Diner for
modification of Article IV, Section 455. 4, which
provides that no parking required for business
use in a business district may be provided in
a residence district, so as to permit the extension
of an existing parking lot on premises located
on Boston Post Road and known on the Tax Assess-
ment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck as Block 505,
Parcel 433, said lot to extend into an R-6 Resi-
dence District, on the ground of practical dif-
ficulty and/or unnecessary hardship.
The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to speak either
in favor of or in opposition to this application.
There were none.
Mr. Bierman then made a motion that the case be dismissed
because of the absence of representation.
The following resolution was then adopted unanimously:
RESOLVED THAT the application of the Larchmont
Country Club Diner, which was adjourned from the
meeting of August 24, 1960, be dismissed for
failure of applicant to appear.
FURTHER RESOLVED that this decision be filed
with the Town Clerk as provided in Section 267
of the Town Law.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before this
meeting it was adjourned at 8:25 p. m.
