OF APPEALS OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD
FEBRUARY 21, 1961, IN THE COURT ROOM OF POLICE HEAD-
QUARTERS, 11 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, TOWN OF MAMARONECK.
CALL TO ORDER
George Schuler, acting chairman, called the meeting to
order at 8:00 p. m.
PRESENT: George Schuler, Acting Chairman
Sydney Bierman
Laurence Sobel
Richard F. Eggers
ABSENT: A. E. Wullschleger
ALSO PRESENT: William Paonessa, Building Inspector
MINUTES
The minutes of January 25, 1961, were approved as corrected
and the minutes of February 11, 1961 were approved as
presented.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mr. Schuler announced that Mr. Wullschleger, chairman of
the Board, was recuperating from his illnee and hoped that he
would be able to return shortly to the Board meetings.
Mr. Schuler also extended congratulations to Mr. Sobel on
his reappointment to the Board for another five year term and
commended Mr. Sobel for his loyal and thoughtful service to
the Board.
HEARING;
The acting chairman, Mr. Schuler, declared the hearing open.

The secretary presented the affidavit of publication of the
notice of the hearing as published in the official newspaper
of the Town of Mamaroneck, The Daily Times, February
15, 1961.
The chairman requested the secretary to read the two ap-
plications and stated that they would be handled together.
Case 84--APPLICATION NO. 1--GAETANO GUGLIELMO
Application of Gaetano Guglielmo for modification of
Article IV, Section 410, Schedule of Residence District
Regulations, so as to allow the construction of a one
family dwelling having a street line frontage of 25 feet
instead of the required 50 feet, on premises located
at the northwest end of Blossom Terrace and known
on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck
as Block 402, part of Parcel 83, on the ground of
practical difficulty and/or unnecessary hardship.
Case 85--APPLICATION NO. 2--GAETANO GUGLIELMO
Application of Gaetano Guglielmo for modification of
Article IV, Section 410, Schedule of Residence District
Regulations, so as to allow the construction of a two
family dwelling having a street line frontage of 25
feet instead of the required 50 feet on premises
located at the southwest end of Blossom Terrace and
known on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of
Mamaroneck as Block 402, part of Parcel 83, on the
ground of practical difficulty and/or unnecessary
hardship.
The chairman asked if any person present withed to speak
either in favor of or in opposition to these applications and
the following persons addressed the Board:

Mr. Wanshel, representing Mr. Guglielmo, appeared and
submitted a brief which is on file with the application. He
stated that since this property had been in single ownership
prior to the change in the Zoning Ordinance it would work
hardship on his client if the variance were not granted.
Mr. Gruver and Mr. Gotte stated that they did not think
sufficient notice of this pending variance had been given to
surrounding property owners.
Following further discussion, on motion by Mr. Bierman,
seconded by Mr. Eggers the following resolution was unanimously
adopted:
RESOLVED that a special meeting of this Board be held
March 8, 1961, to consider the applications of Gaetano
Guglielmo.
FURTHER RESOLVED that the applications be readver-
tised at the expense of the Zoning Board of Appeals
and the secretary send notices to surrounding property
owners from a revised and enlarged list which shall be
furnished ty the Building Inspector.
FURTHER RESOLVED that this decision be filea with the
Town Clerk as provided in Section 267 of the Town Law.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before this meeting
it was adjourned at 9:20 p. m.
