SUBDIVISION - GRIFFEN ESTATES
Mr. Corvino had presented the Secretary with a letter
requesting acceptance of the subdivision and return of
the Performance Bond and all monies. Mr. Corvino was
advised his request should be made to the Town Board.
SUBDIVISION - "THE FAIRWAYS"
Mr. Charles Elfreich, the Town Engineer informed the Board
that Mr. Pollack, the developer of the "Fairways" would
be requesting a reduction in his bond at the next meet-
ing of the Planning Board.
OLD BUSINESS
The Town Board had requested the Planning Board to inves-
tigate Mr. Scheuble' s complaints regarding Cook's and
Dunkin Donuts.
Mr. Scheuble had questioned that Dunkin Donuts is allowed
to stay open 24 hours. The Board decided they would look
into the practice of similar establishments in the neigh-
boring communities.
Mr. Scheuble requested that businesses such as Cook's
and Dunkin Donuts be required to build a chimney to a
height even with the roof of the highest inhabited build-
ing within a radius of approximately 300 ft. to be con-
structed as a shaft for ventilation. The Board discussed
this proposal but did not think it would be a good idea
to have high chimneys for this purpose.
Mr. Scheuble further discussed the buffer zone at Cook's
and asked why it couldn't be the same as the Dollar Sav-
ings Bank which recently opened on the Boston Post Road.
The Board decided there was nothing they could do about
that situation since Cook' s was in existence before the
Iv
present zoning went into effect.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before this meet-
ing it was adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
